The Senate Judiciary Committee has postponed the hearing for a controversial Court of Appeals nominee after the panel received a letter from a home-state prosecutor blasting the candidate as a judicial loose cannon and after Republicans raised concerns about bias in favor of sex offenders.
U.S. District Court Judge Robert Chatigny gained notoriety in 2005 for his role in trying to fight the execution of convicted serial killer and rapist Michael Ross, also known as The Roadside Strangler, whom Chatigny had described as a victim of his own "sexual sadism."
His conduct in that case, which included threatening to go after Ross' attorney's law license, as well as his ruling in 2001 against sex offender registries created under Megan's Law, has caused a commotion among Republicans on the judiciary panel.

The judge was a Clinton appointee in 1994. Seven CT prosecutors filed a complaint against him after he threatened to pull the license of the defense attorney of this sex offender - who had not even asked for a reprieve.
This man is so pro-sex criminal (the “real victim” is the sex criminal himself???? I think not) that he should not even remotely be on the list for an appeals court post and in fact should be removed from his existing position.
Maybe he could pair this guy up with his Safe Schools Czar.

The judge does have his supporters. Connecticut Sens. Chris Dodd and Joe Lieberman issued a joint statement late last month saying Chatigny had “consistently demonstrated his impressive legal abilities and a profound commitment to the rule of law.”
They called him an “outstanding addition” to the Court of Appeals and pledged to work toward his “swift confirmation” through the Senate.
Dodd...I can understand...
But Lieberman?
For this kind of position, one of the people he would have consulted is Chris Dodd. Go figure.
Can Barack Obama go any lower? The man is beyond a disgrace. I suspect that he is doing everything he can to degrade the society.
America was founded as a Christian nation. Obama is a Muslim. Even worse he is a third world Marxist who detests this country. His arrogance and his delusional belief that he can lie to the American people repeatedly on issue after issue suggests that he is more than a little nuts.
No surprise to me. Liberals/Democrats are intent on ruining this country.
The story is strangely written. But the key point is that Chatigny said that the defendant’s sexual sadism “is clearly a mitigating factor.” Chatigny should not be a judge, let alone a judge for an appellate court.
I just find this frightening. I’m more upset than I have been in quite some time...
He’s turned out to be about 100 times worse than I expected. And I expected him to be very, very, very, very bad.

Ya know, I can’t help thinking that judges like this (and there seem to be a lot) are sympathetic to these scum because they suffer from the same, or a similar disease.
Even if they haven’tyet acted it out, or been caught.
My bet is Liberman didnt research the guy. It will blow up in his face if he doesnt withdraw his support.
These guys are superficial intellectual terrorists. They are creeps, jealous of women and children’s beauty. Their hatred shows through every terrorist they want to free.
Creep Jon Stewardt kept making fun of the detractors of this creep and then was stumped. Who in their right mind would want to have in their house any one like this unless they were on crack. TV and Hollywood are a danger to America.
