Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is helping out her former running mate with a high dollar fundraiser at the Arizona Biltmore.
Palin will be courting contributions for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) the GOPs 2008 presidential nominee on March 23 as part of her swing through Arizona to aide his re-election campaign.
For $2,500, McCain donors can attend an hour-long reception with the former GOP vice presidential nominee and get a chance for a picture with Palin.
Those not attending the reception can pay $500 each for a two-hour dinner, or $1,000 for preferred seating.
Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), along with Arizona GOP Reps. Jeff Flake, Trent Franks and John Shadegg will also be at the fundraiser.

RUSH: Victor in Boca Raton, Florida, I'm glad you waited, sir. You're on the EIB Network. Hi.
CALLER: Great. Hello, Mr. Limbaugh. Mega dittos to you from your fans at the Free Republic.
RUSH: Thank you, sir, very much.
CALLER: Sir, I would like to hear your opinion on Sarah Palin’s endorsement and campaigning for John McCain. Thank you, sir.
RUSH: Well, I've been waiting for this question to come up, and I see there's a story out there today that Joe the Plumber says that he cannot and will not support Sarah Palin because of her endorsement of McCain. It is problematic, but you know what's going on here. She's a Republican. She's not a tea partier, she's not a third party person. She's a Republican. McCain picked her. No matter what has been written about how she wasn't supported by some people, I think — and I'm not coping out here — I just think I understand the reality of the circumstance. Maybe she coulda stood mute and not said anything but it would have really, really caused some problems in the other direction for her if she had not endorsed McCain. She's in a no-win in this situation as far as I can tell. I'll have more when we come back....

I don’t take my marching orders from Rush or anyone else? Do you?
Jveritas is an invaluable freeper. He translated hundreds of pages from Arabic to expose the lies the MSM was touting about Saddam, WMD, and Iraqi terrorism in order to slime GWB. Why would you want him to opus? He and I have had numerous disagreements as well over the years, but I don’t expect him or anyone else to opus out for not following the “company line”.
I would have never guessed who the other thread was posted by...........when I saw this thread title, I originally guessed it was from him.
My point was, if he was going to whine so many times (and he did) about being on a pro-Palin forum, he should do an opus instead.
It's called humor and sarcasm.
100% correct, and a man, or gentleman, with an ounce of decency would have recognized that Sarah's future is more important than Juans's, and nothing should have been asked of her that would have alienated her from her supporters.
But Juan is out for Juan, and no consideration of how this might impact Sarah would have entered into his thoughts, or at least it would not have influenced his looking out for himself. And it doesn't inspire confidence that she didn't limit her involvement. OR, maybe Sarah is a Juan McCain Republican.
Add to that, the AZ primary is in late August! Plenty of time for McCain to really impact his opponent’s war chest & support. Dirty as hell. This is also a long time for Sarah to be ‘married’ to McCain.
OK. I’ll accept that.
But not the notion he is whining. He’s not a Palin fan, like many others here, so he gets lotsa heat and vitriol tossed his way.
Hell, I do like Palin (just not my top choice), yet get called a Palin Hater or some such constantly, though its water off a duck to me.
"We have nothing to fear from 0bama"--that mcCain.
It is true.
I'm hoping she'll move away from Juan's campaign after these two or three scheduled events. Five and a-half months is a long campaign. If she keeps popping up by his side until August 24th, she'll really damage herself with many supporters.
And I'm fairly irritated. I'm not one of the resident Romney haters, and still thought he might become the candidate we need in 2010. Now both my top two hopefuls have been stained by McCain. - I hope some worthy challenger to Obama will emerge over the next year or so.
There are irrational Palin haters here, almost in the same number as the irrational Palin lovers. Sometimes I wonder which number is higher, and I have to admit, I love being called a Palin worshipper by them.
Like you said, water. Duck.
So in other words, she is helping to advance the McCain/Graham/Romney RINO agenda of transforming the GOP into a "lite" version of the Rat Party!
You and I have reached a perfect understanding.
I am no member of a cult. I have not always agreed with you, but, you desreve a right to your opinion. I am not happy with Palin for all her moves.
Do not go. We need to be challenged.
Except when she's getting paid.
I admit, her support of McCain makes it a challenge to support her. But I’m not giving up over her, partly because of this:

yeah so much for state’s right
Point taken. Though I think she has made it very clear she supports John McCain for re election. I agree with her. I had much rather have McCain in that Senator’s seat than Hayworth. But..that is not important. Palin is not obligated to support those we support. She is her own woman. I think it will be more clear in time. She has her own mind obviously and is not going to be influenced by those who want her to be someone she is not. She does not care about the opinions of those who disagree with her. She believes what she believes for her own reasons and is not going to budge. I think people who disagree with her still should respect her for not bending to popular opinion.
