Understanding Krugman is easy. Remember the following quote: “Words mean what I wish them to, neither more nor less!”
PS Those words are Humpty Dumpty’s, as he sat on wall - just prior to his great fall.

He’s nothing but a paid hack. An econ professor of mine idolized him, I wouldn’t take any advise from him unless he quits taking a paycheck.

Pardon my ignorance (and trust me, that will take a LOT of pardoning) - but why the “Enron”?

BTW, I should have spelled NOBLE correctly in the title above. It should be NOBEL.
But I guess I can use the word NOBLE with the /sarc tag :)

but why the Enron?
The NOBLE /sarc Laureate was an Enron adviser at the peak of the DOT COM frenzy and was publicly touting the company's virtues in articles he published ( even as the company was doing creative accoutning ).
The house of cards came crashing not long after that. He won a Noble Prize ( NOBLE prize ?? /sarc ) many years later.

Which begs the next question -- with a slew of prizes from the NOBLE /sarc committee given to such people as Krugman, Jimmuh Carter, Yaser Arafat, Rigoberta Menchu, Al Gore ( over the infinitely more worthy Irina Sendler ) and now Barack Obama, what credibility do they have left ?

Krugman is the archtypical pundidiot.

One hopes that the Nobel committees in the hard sciences are embarrassed by their brethren and sistern over on the “Peace Prize” side.
But one never knows.
