At the end of a discussion of Haiti on HBOs Real Time with Bill Maher, actor Sean Penn went on a rant in defense of Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez, suggesting prison time for American journalists: "every day, this elected leader is called a dictator here, and we just accept it! And accept it. And this is mainstream media, who should truly, there should be a bar by which one goes to prison for these kinds of lies."
Thanks for that, MinuteGal. I suspect that’s how a lot of these Hollywood losers land their jobs there in the first place, having direct and/or family ties to the communist movement.
This is like a person telling their spouse, ‘if you tell me I’m abusive again I’m going to beat the hell out of you!’.
Sean Penn.....did this mo-ron even finish high school or get a GED?
That is a bungled soul brother handshake
Nah, *that* particular "rescue mission" happened in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina...
the infowarrior
Thanks. It was answered already somewhere within the 145 (so far) posts on this thread. :)
What does that mean? Never heard of it before.
Bungled -—As in they messed up that soul brother handshake. Likely 0bama was shaking hands the normal way while Hugo reached out with the soul brother handshake
I did phrase that question to the person I was responding to as if to imply they was suggesting it was a Cuban boat rescue, didn’t I? I didn’t mean to. Commie Sean Penn would probably want to sink those boats.
Perhaps. Obama, I don't think, is that dumb to make it so obvious that he basically supports everything socialist Hugo Chavez stands for. He knows he must keep some distance from him, at least in terms of public perception.
exactly!!! 0bama privately loves that commie socialist shiite but avoids public displays of affection
Perhaps so, but “fascism” is an Italian creation, coming from the Latin word fasce, or “bundle.”
Yes, Mussolini was a declared fascist. The funny thing was fascism was sold as the “middle third way” between communism and capitalism. Stalin is the one that pushed the fascist PR to differentiate himself from Hitler. Two collectivists seeking each others demise. The distortion comes when todays (and even yesterdays) leftist attempt to relate Hitler’s “fascism” with the right (this only happened after the German-Russian Non-Agression Pact was destroyed). This does not play, remember it was the “third way” much like bammys political strategy. The only leader that represented a free and open society was Churchill. FDR was very much the “third way fascist” but was a fascist of good personal temper who was allied with the British. He clearly was not a free market guy, much less a true liberal (one who believes individuals can find their best interests in a free society). He saw himself as a Platonic “Great Man” vehicle required to right history. Funny his only lasting legacy was accepting “total war” as the only response available to America and pursuing it pell mell. For this I am grateful, for the rest of his policies and ideas, I think they are vote buying trash.
