Ironic that last August, at the peak of the town hall protests around the country, Massa attracted national attention when he told a convention of lefties in Pittsburgh that he would vote for a health care bill even if the large majority in his district is strongly opposed to it.
As I understand it, Massa has said he will resign from his seat at 5:00 ET today, but it is unknown as of now whether he will follow through with it. It is also rumored that he has serious health problems which may have contributed to that decision. If Massa does resign, it will create a total of five special elections nationally to fill vacant House seats before the midterms.
I’ll say ..
If Hastert hadn’t covered it up, ther would have been nothing for the MSM to sit on. You can’t really blame the other side on that one...
I suspect he's proud of that story and wants it spread far and wide... Intimidation's easier when you don't have to creat new fears.
