Woohoo...fishing with Piper. DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!! And good luck fishing. That would be so cool if she caught a fish with Poppa.

I was just telling someone on another forum how lucky our family was that I never deployed like that. We have nothing in our experience that lets us understand what it’s like to be apart like that.
I feel for all the families who are missing loved ones right about now. It makes life so hard...

Camera?
Oh, right.
Yes, MA.
I should have had it the last time we went, although I’m not sure I would have had the presence of mind to use it. We had a 4’ bull snake cross our path as we were walking down to the pond. Piper clung to me like a little leech when she saw him.

Thank you, Jinxy! My sweet DIL is having a hard time sometimes. They have been apart before, but not for 6 months like
this one is, and she is all alone with a 3-year old. I hope
I can be of some help when I go up there.

I’m hoping she lets you help...
I’d bet a day out on her own would be nice.
It’s hard to be Mom and Dad at the same time.

Y’know what?
I need to call it a night, too.
The house is getting quiet, and that’s my cue to start shutting things down!
See everyone tomorrow.

He’s mostly been teaching academics (classroom stuff). How is the Alaska weather doing? Any signs of Spring?

We had a week above freezing during the days, but below at night...this next week is suggesting possible snow. A little early for spring....maybe another month, but we never know.

I think I need to look for the DVD. Any more snow? They say we have the possibility of snow all week. We will see.

No snow this week. In fact, it was in the 50s today — hopefully later.
Spring is in the air?
