I mean your remark about Abe Lincoln.

As to wife & child campaigning against a Prop already decided by voters in CA not AZ--that tends to show further corruption on the part of the candidate, McCain.

Wow! Didn’t know that Sheriff Joe is a big Romney supporter.

Sheriff Joe can be forgiven for that, as Mitt-Witt isn't running for anything yet. But J.D. Hayworth IS running, and Sheriff Joe is supporting him.

“The RINOs are lining up together to try and stop the conservatives. “

That’s what McCain has always done in ARizona, usually supporting some convicted fraud.

Another shady association of McCain is former AZ governor Fife Symington, who was convicted of bank fraud and pardoned by Bill Clinton in 2001. And still making big McCain contributions...

McCain Victory 2008 - $5,000 on 5/31/2008
John McCain 2008 - $4,600 on 6/30/2007

In 2006, McCain orchestrated a move (aided by Sen. Jon Kyl, Congressmen John Shadegg, Rick Renzi and Jeff Flake to get rid of conservatives running for office in Maricopa Cty, putting Symington against the party chair, Haney.

http://www.muckety.com/John-Fife-Symington-III/102264.muckety

“Grassroots Arizona spent more than $16,000 in an effort to oust Haney and the conservatives controlling District 11, McCain’s home district. The move failed miserably and Haney was re-elected handily last week — over former Gov. Fife Symington.

McCain’s Handpicked District 11 Candidates Defeated; Former Governor Symington Sent Back to the Kitchen

Nov. 29, 2006

All the candidates for office in GOP Legislative District 11 (Phoenix) belonging to the Sen. John McCain faction, in an effort to capture the district leadership from conservatives, lost in Tuesday night’s election...... Sen. Jon Kyl, Congressmen John Shadegg, Rick Renzi and Jeff Flake all wound up with egg on their faces for endorsing Symington”

Symington was a new trial on appeal. And because Clinton pardoned him the US decided not to retry.

Please get your facts right.

McCain is a poster boy for term limits.

I say all federal politicians be limited to two terms - If two terms were good enough for George Washington, it’s good enough for every politician.

What do you consider Ohio? The North East? Wikipedia considers Ohio part of the Midwest. Here is their list: The region consists of twelve states in the eastern north-central United States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

I think you are correct. A Rassmussen poll (1-20-2010) shows McCain ahead 53% to 21%. McCain is strongly favored to hold the seat for the Republican Party.

People are spinning their wheels for J.D. Hayworth.

Are you referring to the huge voter block of Arizona retirees who will vote for McCain?

“Please get your facts right.”

Oh, shut up. He was convicted and pardoned. That’s a fact. I didn’t give Symington’s full history, so what?
I gave a snip of a few lines from an article. Take it up with them.

I’m not running for office, McCain is. Your deflections, like his, don’t work here.

That poll was long before Hayworth even announced.

that was because Hayworth was milking it anyway he could on the airwaves and KFYI told him it would be better if he gave up his talkshow

Romney, Palin, and Scott Brown all know the outcome of this primary. Even Jim DeMint won’t throw money away on JD.

“We’re a small organization with a limited budget. There’s an awful lot of places where our presence would be needed and can really make a difference. We don’t see this Arizona race as one where we need to be actively involved. It’s hard for us to believe that J.D. Hayworth could mount a credible challenge to John McCain. Obviously, we’ll watch the race. But J.D. had a fairly short, undistinguished congressional career with virtually no initiative on his part. I just don’t see any reason why we should be concerned about that race.” -— former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, R-Texas, FreedomWorks’ chairman

Actually it was 53 to 31. That is about what the margin will be in August. Changes will swing in McCain's favor.

The Romney endorsement is more important to McCain than Palin's. Mitt just ensured a huge block of votes that were leaning McCain anyway. More important he unleashed a disciplined cadre of Republican faithful who will work nonstop until August to reelect McCain.

What do you mean? It was no secret that J.D. Hayworth was going to run against McCain. Hayworth was running his campaign for senate, months before he announced, from his radio program. This was the reason that program director, Smokey Rivers dropped Hayworth’s program from KFYI. From the results of the latest Rasmussen Poll, that stealth “campaign advertising,” did not work favorably for Hayworth.

Thanks for the correction. That Rasmussen poll for 1-20-2010 showed McCain ahead of Hayworth by 22 points: 53% to 31%. With those figures, how is Hayworth going to raise money?
