"remember when the field was dwindling in the presidential primary Ann Coulter came out and supported Romney over McCain and was applauded for it..."

Yep. Ann is human and makes some bizarre statements. None of us are perfect, but Ann was really confused with that statement.

“Palin is supporting Hayworth - I believe (even though she promised McCain to campaign for him) “

!?!?!? Palin has endorsed McCain already.

JD is not getting outside help. McCain is. But guess what - outsiders dont make the call, the voters do. They are the ultimate deciders.

“Romney just wrote his political death certificate. In the climate of today that is the stupidest move a republican could make.”

Nah, I think Newt’s unnecessary defense of Dede Scuzzafava tops them all.
Endorsing McCain is the ‘safe’ ‘establishment’ choice ... just dont let it bite you like the Crist endorsements.

I hope you’re right. But if so, she should stop mentioning him so favorably, like the other night with Leno. It will prove pretty hard to disentangle herself from him, if it isn’t already. I don’t see where she owes him anything—he wanted Joe Lieberman for his running mate and only selected Sarah when urged to do so by his advisors, never spoke out against her attackers and last but not least, he threw the election to Hussein. I hope Arizonans vote him out. Maybe it will be decided by the Independent voters.

The only inside help Hayworth is getting is Joe Arpaio. Everyone else in state is lining up behind McCain.

thx---Yes I have heard of Ohio!!! My father was born there. (and by age 25 or so was drawn irresistably West!)

I asked about NE because of the ever present suspicions for politicians of the NE.

“The bigger they are the harder they FALL.”

That should benefit McCain. Hayworth would automatically assume he’s bigger than McCain or anyone else for that matter.

I was replying to your post 73. Didn’t you even read what you posted?

I’ve never decided to vote against a candidate just because of who their spouse or child was.

Well .. I didn’t see her performance on Leno .. but she has said many times before that she has a very high regard for McCain personally. Why .. I can’t figure out.

McCain’s campaign would have been over much sooner without Palin .. so I figure it’s McCain who owes her - not the other way around. The crowds came out to see her; I voted for McCain because of her .. not him .. and because I didn’t like the people Obama hung out with for 20 years.

However, it’s Palin’s personal choice to honor her promise to campaign for McCain in his senate race (and she may have made it not really believing they would lose the presidential race). Now, she’s going to honor her promise - no matter how uncomfortable it might be at times.
