Nine House Dems Mull Health Care Backing (Voted no last time; might vote yes this time)
CBS ^ | March 1, 2010 | staff

Posted on 03/06/2010 11:12:18 PM PST by Sun

In interviews with the AP, at least nine of the 39 Democrats - or their spokesmen - either declined to state their positions or said they were undecided about the revised legislation, making them likely targets for intense wooing by Pelosi and Obama. Three of them - Brian Baird of Washington, Bart Gordon of Tennessee and John Tanner of Tennessee - are not seeking re-election this fall.

The others are Rick Boucher of Virginia, Suzanne Kosmas of Florida, Frank Kratovil of Maryland, Michael McMahon of New York, Scott Murphy of New York and Glenn Nye of Virginia. Several lawmakers' offices did not reply to the AP queries.

I was watching last week's CBS News, and discovered my congressman was one of the ones who might change his mind and vote Yes for Obamacare this time. Is one of these congresspersons YOUR representative? If so, give them a call, or a visit, and tell them to vote No! again.

I think, if they do vote for Obamacare, their spin will be that there were sufficients changes in the bill (probably fiscal) which got them to change their minds.

No surprise. Most Americans have short memories, especially since none of this happens for quite some time should it pass. Most voters will have other things on their minds than health care.

Scott Murphy is one of the reps who might change his mind this time and vote Yes for Obamacare.

I don’t think they will forget about the ones who are coming up for reelection this November.

Obamacare is HUGE.

What nobody yet seems to understand is that the whole idea is that the bill, as it is, needs to be passed by the House. It DOES NOT matter what the House thinks they will get as far as changes to it. The whole idea is to get the Senate bill passed by the House. Resident then signs it and it is OVER. Look at what Reid did to Bunning. There will not be any reconcilition. THE SENATE BILL WILL BECOME LAW.

That’s right, Congressmen. Sell your souls out and let America and her people sink right into the ground.

Bart Gordon has announced he won’t run for re-election, (he sees what the future holds) so he is just biding his time, waiting to see what he is offered..... your basic political whore.

Everything I needed to learn about him I learned during the Hillary care debate. I phoned his office and actually ended up speaking with him. After several minutes of discussion I finally said “Basically, we just want you to get your hands out of our pockets.” He replied “Well, we can’t do that”.

Yes, the House is key, which is why we need to keep pressuring our reps.

Obama wants the other side to make their voices heard, so he obviously doesn’t think it’s a “done deal.” If it were, they would have held the vote yesterday.

‘”But the President said something else - he called on the American people to speak out: “I urge every American to make their voice heard.”’ http://www.aclj.org/TrialNotebook/Read.aspx?ID=925

You got it Obama. I WILL make my voice heard, but it won’t be what you would like to hear, Mr. Obama.

You vastly under estimate how furious people are about this scam.
When you jack up people insurance and medicare rates they remember.

I know the story is from last week.

When I called my Dem rep’s (who voted against the bill last time) office, his aide told me that he was going to look over the bill and make sure it was OK before he would vote for it if he does vote for it (I’m paraphrasing). I felt this was some kind of set up that they were telling his constituents, but I feel if enough of his constitutents put pressure on him, he MIGHT vote No again.

Everybody knows that every Dem is a Yes vote.
But the Dems let extra votes above a minimum majority to be cast as Noes to fool you.

Only if his vote isn’t needed and he’s in a close race.

The Rise of Antichrist by the Counterfeit Work of Satan (2 Thess. 2:9-10)

In these verses we actually see the second effect and detail regarding the man of lawlessness. The first was his unveiling, but this is quickly countered by the promise of his destruction by the manifestation of the parousia of Christ at His advent to earth. Now another detail is given, namely, the source of the lawless one’s coming (parousia) and deceptive working in the world. It will “be by Satan’s working.” Literally, “whose coming is in accordance with a working of Satan.” This answers the question, “Why and how will the lawless one be able to so quickly deceive the world into following him to the point they even worship him”? As it was also revealed to John in Rev. 13, it is because he is Satan’s man; he is Satan-inspired, enabled, and indwelt, and evidently, the world will understand this and won’t care.

… And the whole world followed the beast in amazement; they worshiped the dragon because he had given ruling authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast too, saying: “Who is like the beast?” and “Who is able to make war against him?” The beast was given a mouth speaking proud words and blasphemies, and he was permitted to exercise ruling authority for forty-two months. So the beast opened his mouth to blaspheme against God—to blaspheme both his name and his dwelling place, that is, those who dwell in heaven. The beast was permitted to go to war against the saints and conquer them. He was given ruling authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation, and all those who live on the earth will worship the beast, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was killed. If anyone has an ear, he had better hear! Rev. 13:3-9.
