Oh yeah. Living in the Hollywood/L.A. corridor, you are bound to meet them. The only good thing going for them is they have the best looking chicks: blondes and redheads they’ve recruited and they’ve got money. The amount of buildings and properties on the Sunset, Hollywood and Franklin Blvds is shocking.

There is a poster here that is a Scientologist. He believes none of these stories..thinks all of it is made up lies...I think he has been in it for over 20 years.

Australia is going after them..it seems that the US is the only place that really coddles them...and enables their treacherous activities under the guise of “freedom of religion”

Except that Muslim’s actually have a religion...

And the thing that gets me is that Scientology members are given a tax deduction THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN GET...in violation of the Constitution.

Beatings and sleep deprivation and almost no money to spend outside the organization ? Shocking. Gosh, you’d think they were nun novices in convents or monks in monasteries.

Of course, they don’t mention molestation of the children by priests and cardinals, but I’m sure that’s next. Scientology will be no better than the Catholic church before too much longer.

Of course, Scientology is a fairly new religion and maybe they deserve a thousand years to get their feet under them and assume a mantle of legitimacy like the Catholic church, eh ? What they are doing so far is pretty tame compared to what the Catholic church did in its youth, after all. If you were going to shut down every religion that ever had a few abusive megalomaniacs in its ranks, I don’t think there’d be any religions left.

1) All that “auditing” info can be used for blackmail.

2) What other Church requires their members to pay for their salvation?

3) Never forget that one of Clinton’s first acts as president was to order the IRS to drop its exclusion of Scientology as a Church, so it could claim tax-exempt status. This was a payoff to those Hollywood Scientologists who donated to his campaign.

Ill health or not, I haven’t forgotten the mischief and abuse of the Clinton presidency.

What is that deduction? I am extremely curious, as I lived in Riverside County and saw the abuses there derived from their headquarters and film studio.
