In perhaps the worst possible development for the radical left since the discovery of Karl Rove's now infamous "Weather Machine," Governor Palin's recently exposed top secret "laugh track" machine appears to also have even more dastardly powers than were originally feared. In addition to altering the space-time continuum, and reprogramming the master computers at NBC to cause laughter during Sarah's monologue to appear where none had been before, and send well-intentioned jeers and "groans" from her wannabe stalkers into the abyss this mysterious device apparently also exerts some kind of irresistible mind control powers over the loyal fans of "American Idol" megastar Adam Lambert, causing many of them to actually like the producer of the upcoming new "Alaska Valley Days" TV series, Governor Sarah Palin.
Or, at least, that's what the Kos Kids would like you to believe.
Many of those wacky ultra-left "conspiracy-mongers" who post at such online cesspools as the Daily Kos, Huffpo and DU have been foaming at the mouth all week about Sarah's "rock star" performance during for last week's taping of "Day Two" of Jay Leno's return to the traditional 11:35 pm time slot for the "Tonight Show."
Since I was actually in the studio audience last week when Governor Palin made her "comedy debut" with a small band of "Palin palm print"-bearing FReepers (and FRiends) who had crashed the party with the intention of acting as "Ed McMahon" to Sarah's "Johnny Carson" I call BS on their widely-reported, but easily-debunked, "laugh track" conspiracy theory.
In my not so humble opinion, however, the REAL "back story" behind last week's studio audience, which has naturally NOT been covered in the "State-Controlled Media" was that a huge percentage of that relatively "pro-Palin" audience last week were "glamberts" that is, hard core fans of "American Idol" singer Adam Lambert, whom many music lovers view as a contemporary reincarnation of Elvis. (Or, perhaps Liberace.)
In this thread, which will serve as the "after action" report for our recent Leno FReep, I intend to explore this strange and very unexpected (to me) twist on the controversial "big tent" philosophy of the new Republican party. And that strange new twist is, many Adam Lambert fans support Sarah Palin!
I am particularly interested in hearing on this thread from ADAM LAMBERT FANS who support Sarah Palin, but I would also like to hear from CONSERVATIVES who may have reservations about welcoming this new group of Palin supporters, many of whom have been NOT previously been engaged (or informed) in the political arena.
Personally, I like the concept of "My tent, my rules."
That is, we welcome the electoral support of just about ANYBODY but only on OUR terms. I believe that the conservative political movement should be like America itself: everyone is welcome here IF you agree to certain fundamental, non-negotiable principles.
Please post YOUR comments and opinions about Sarah Palin and the "glamberts" here.
Thank you,
RonDog
You mean you're not a zombie?
Let’s see, I said that the pictures of Lambert were scary. Is that hate speech or something? The guy looks like a freak in those photos.
BTW, I now recall why the name was familiar; I seem to recall that he got a lot of coverage not too long ago for a lewd performance on prime time TV. Sorry if I dissed an idol of yours....
It was a very nasty gay like thing at the Grammy’s. Complete with leashes and stuff.
Lambert was awful.
I can provide MANY facts to confirm what I already know, from having been there LIVE. - RonDogLOL!You mean you're not a zombie? - savedbygrace
Strictly speaking, the "Tonight Show" is recorded "live to tape" -- so that it can be re-broadcast at a later time, but in it's original "LIVE" format -- i.e., with NO edits, NO cuts, and NO "artificial laugh tracks" added.
What I **intended** to communicate, of course, was that I was actually IN STUDIO for that "live" taping -- and therefore could speak with authority about exactly what did and did NOT happen there.
And I just watched Zombieland on DVD the other night. So naturally . . . .
What planet is it from?
What a great idea!Whats really great about this is during her next televsion appearance, wherever that may be, Sarah will produce some applause signs and canned laugher will be piped in.
And everybody will laugh at the joke, but we will be laughing even harder at Daily Kos and the left.

Yes, I saw clips of the leash stuff on the news.
I am somewhat baffled by the response I got in #256 to my comment in #36. Strange, huh?
Yes, that was an odd reply. In fact, this is a very odd thread.
Why would anyone want to associate Palin with Lambert?
Lambert may have gotten his singing talent from God, but, he doesn’t seem to be content with his singing ability, he wants ro revel in his perversions and have people watch it.
No thanks, I am not interested in watching. Same thing happened to George Michael, he was a really good singer but he destroyed his own career in the same way.
By the way, people around here get a lot of strange replys and attacks around here lately. LOL
I’ll tell you something friend.....I doubt no one here had more of a sense of hope and a heart of support for Palin when she came to national attention on the campaign than me.....I’m not stumping for anyone, and I am a liberty loving conservative......I don’t know you, but if our paths crossed and there was an opportunity to hurt or help, you wouldn’t have to sweat my presense....
That's how you remember it, if you're Dolly Parton.
I agree. If people have same sex attraction disorder, I feel sorry for them. But I will not be forced to say that it is normal, nor will I watch public displays about it.
It was not too long ago that these people were telling us to stay out of their bedrooms. I am fine with that. It’s between them and God. Now, however, they are attempting to force us to watch and approve of their bedroom behavior.
Well, my feeling about this thread is this. I like Palin, but people here are thinking Lambert and his fans are stand up guys and conservatives because Lambert appeared on the stupid Jay Leno Show on the same night as Palin and it is reported his fans just loved her. Whew. Got it all out.
They may have liked her because she is a charming lady, but I doubt that will translate into votes for Palin. Therefore, I am not going to give a slime like Lambert, who has a good voice, kudos, for disgusting my sense of decency.
There I said it.
Where are the palm pics? - cake_crumHere they are!
Help Sarah Palin "get the Left all wee-weed up,"
post YOUR "Palin palm print" photos and ideas here!(You can consider this PART TWO of the "after action" report from L.A. Chapter FReepers who were in the studio audience for Sarah Palin's recent appearance with Jay Leno.)

Amen, FRiend.
I remember thinking the same thing.
You must mean the conservative principle that says never keep your promises to key political allies whose policies, as stated during the campaign, are conservative.
I wasn’t aware of that principle.
No, I mean the conservative principle that when you discover a political allie turns out to hold political principles closer to the enemy, you correct your path and walk the straight and narrow.....
I must have missed the part where Palin said she’s supporting McCain because she now stands for tax increases, greater power for government, pro-abortion, downsizing the military, and atheism.
Or the part where she even supported a single one of these ideas.
...Palin's stint on Jay was one of her better interviews. The questions weren't tough, but the governor was comfortable, articulate, warm, and funny.
It also helped that the audience -- or, rather, the vocal part of the audience -- was clearly on her side.
And she can tell a joke. This is a talented and charismatic woman who, despite everything, is not to be underestimated.
