Can you believe it? Next thing you know, well be told that she doesnt even write her own lines. Come to think of it, we were already told that. And that was treated as a scandal too.
This is the second day in a row that Mediaites gone for a goof on Palin and then had to walk it back.
Maybe Sarah Palin wasnt quite the hit on The Tonight Show the other night that everyone thought she was! A contributor over at Daily Kos who provides some impressive sound bona fides says he attended the Leno taping on Monday and that the audience was not nearly as welcoming as it sounded to TV viewers later on that night.

If you read any of Rondog’s posts on the Leno live thread, you would know this is a lie. Ron and about a dozen FReepers were there in the studio. We’re waiting for Ron to post his after-FReep thread, sometime soon, where he will counter what the idiot Kos Kiddies et al are saying.
They poll her daily at buzzdash.com
always something...
This isn’t happenstance. It’s a concerted effort of propaganda ... and just the tip of the iceberg, IMHO.
(New tagline.)
KOS? How are they a source for anything other than gay bars and leather accessories?
I was there and this guy is lying.
The laughter and applause was spontaneous frequent and wide-spread.
As for a few of her jokes going flat during her stand-up routine, Carson himself used to have jokes go flat. And Sarah’s jokes didn’t go flat so much as you just don’t go ape over every joke during a routine or you wouldn’t hear most of them. She got solid applause during the routine from the vast majority of the audience.
When we arrived to get tickets at 5:45 am, there was a young woman that had camped out since 3:00 am. We talked to her and she was an actress, appearing in some small community theater roles. During Palin’s appearance, this young woman clapped frequently and seemed to be enjoying herself. So were a lot of other young people as will as middle-aged and older people.
Don’t forget folks. Adam Lambert was on the show and a significant presence of his fans were also clapping for Palin. I paid special attention to that.
So the idiot that tossed out the anti Palin tripe on KOS was clearly a fool on a mission.
I don’t know if Leno’s crew adds laugh tracks or not. They may as a general rule, but the premise Palin got no laughter or applause and they had to add some in is mis-information.
"In the interest of disclosure my wife and I created a parody Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book http://goingrouge.net and have sold many copies. It was featured in the Washington Post, AP, The New York Times, Buzzflash, Entertainment Tonight broadcast the cover repeatedly pre-Christmas, and in general its been happily received. Even right wingers have purchased copies, and loved them.)
You can't be a Liberal if you are unable to lie about anything and everything at the drop of a hat. That is why a “Fact” to a Liberal is like Sunlight to a Vampire.
The more they make fun of her, the better she gets, lol.
I agree. Thanks.
OH MY GOD! SHE is just a fake. It is appalling... SARC !
It's mostly laugh-tracks recorded with an occasional woohoo!
After all....that's what hollywood is all about...fake life.
Since when is a guest on a TV-show in charge of production and directorial decisions like whether to use a laugh-track?
And since when is it scandalous for a TV-show to use laugh-tracks? or to make guests look good?
Oh, I know, since when, since it involves Gov. Palin. Why don’t they just declare it’s a scandal that she exists and get it over with—she obviously is a scandalon to the left. Of course, even if they do, a lot of us neither find anything scandalous about her nor regard her as a stumbling block.
The same Daily Kos that started the rumor that Trigg Palin was really Bristols baby? That Daily Kos.
Here is a very good analysis of why this whole story is so LAME, from a guy who just watched it on TV, posted on hotair.com:
Just re-watched the Palin appearance on Lenos show. Either D-bag Stinson is a liar, or Jay and Sarah are incredibly talented.During the interview, it is clear that each of them pause for the applause to die down before continuing to speak. At one point, they each raise their voices to talk above the applause. If that was canned applause, then they are amazing in their ability to pause at the just the right moment knowing that the sound would be edited in later.
Same thing during Palins monologue. She must be a pro to know to pause long enough after each joke to allow space for the canned applause to be inserted. She is also a trooper. She kept smiling and plowing ahead as if the audience really liked her jokes instead showing that she was bombing like D-bag Stinson claims.
All in all, there may have been some laughter added over the top of her jokes, but only to enhance the audiences reaction not fill it in completely. I am sure this is not the first time this has happened on a talk show.
Conclusion: D-bag Stinson is a liar.

NBC says that neither the audio nor the laughter was enhanced for Sarah Palin’s Leno appearance.

Notice the WaPo spends most of the article repeating the accusation that was proven false by NBC.
Thanks RonDog. The guy makes a good point.
Everything this guy said took place didn’t, so WaPo gives him a major plug.
Go figure.
He says he was making loud standout reactions to Palin when nobody else was making noise. I didn’t hear a single instance of that. The Leno staff was right on top of the audience to prevent cell phone use or other undesirable actions. If he would have acted out, he would have been history.
I begin to seriously doubt this guy was even there. Nothing he says took place did.
