There has been a continuing rumor that CBS and CNN will enter into a kind of joint venture with their news divisions, which will allow them to leverage resources and reduce costs. It has been a rumor for years, but recently those rumors have intensified and many industry people believe it's not a question of if, but when.

Every person I've watched on CNN and on Headline News has struck me that way. Even the knockout blonde they have on HLN seems like she's looking down her nose when she talks about Republicans or Bush.
