In the Book of Matthew, Jesus told his disciples when asked when he would return. One of the signs was earthquakes in diver’s (different) places. They seem to be happening at a fast pace lately.

Someone asked if earthquakes are seasonal.
Somewhere in my childhood I picked up on that for where we lived in Cali earthquakes coincide with spring.
Anyone know if there is any substance to seasonal quakes?

I can remember being around six years old and hearing the adults talk about us falling into the ocean and big foot.
Went to bed many nights concerned about both.

Living On the Oregon Coast (just a spit of non tsunami zone in a very tsunami zoned area) I thought about it when the Chili quake hit.
The bay/ocean/weather has been so quietly calm and warm (el nino) that there is a very peace filled feeling here.
(my perception maybe affected by our giving up tv for Lent(no blaring yappers and our having EWTN on instead 24/7 very calming/educational/Mass filled/history of the Catholic Church/Faith)
Stratigist chimes in quiet often on earthquake threads to put in his two cents.
Usaully to the tune of no big deal in regards to quake size.
However have not seen him (doesnt mean he has not been around) since these mega quakes have hit. Like Chili.

I was not scared as a little girl. I enjoyed earthquakes...lol.
Be interesting to know if the under sea volcanic activity has changed.
When KV was going to the Marine Sci lectures there were some really cool footage taken of these vents in the active ring of fire by the man in craft undersea explorers.
I wish they could have left behind some sort of monitoring system to gauge any correlation between quakes and venting of the undersea molten lava.
The one thing that was amazing is this lava had lil crabs running around on it.
Most have some heat resistant non melting shells/claws.

When I was a young teen/twenty ish I used to get my hobby earthquake info from the SFChronicle in the sunday paper.
They printed the world quakes for the week then I would go put a lil sticker on my Globe.
But yes the internet has much better reporting.
Earthquakes in my hobby opine are like the weather some years more intense others not so much.
Well..time will tell but lets hope this is the end of these for awhile?
Tv for lent? replaced with Christian radio...Likely no tv would surely make it peaceful. I watch little tv..if I want to see something I’ll put in a movie. Like to watch Fox News though...am addicted to Fox I think. Afraid I’ll miss something! Ha!
Yes, California always has earthquakes going on but usually only 200 to 300 a week.
They have had 774 in the past week! That’s impressive and worrisome.

When the boyz(canines) all jump up at once from sleeping and bolt out the door my heart rate perks a bit.
Then I remind myself it is just a deer/bunny/rat or some nocturnal creature passing through the perimeter.
During the day I watch the variety of seabirds (we live above a sanctuary)
