Excellent point. Thanks Cripplecreek!

maybe California’s turn is not to far off.

Ten weeks following mag 8.8 quake in Ecuador/Columbia, the infamous 1906 San Francisco earthquake occurred.

Sure there has been.

I just asked King Vanity to send up prayer intentions that there be no shakin from a quakin here on the Oregon Coast.

Heaven forbid his mirror break. /sarc

If you have access to the USGS map of the entire west coast and the PNW you will see all the little quakes (hopefully stress relievers).

The only place on the west coast that has not had any small quakes is our State.

Your state has been busy from South on up to the most recent the NW of Wash.

The air/bay/ocean here has been real still and peacefull the past week.

The weather from El Nino has kept our area on the coast the best in warm not so stormy winter in the whole state.

Just Lovin it!
Salmon run is forcasted to be the best fishing in many years this year.

(have had zac brown band tunes playin in my head all week it has been that great)

I don’t know if the FReepers discussed the Antarctic iceberg that cracked last week.....???

I remember seeing a FR thread on it. Didn't get a whole lot of comments.

I’m here in Taipei and felt a long but gentle rolling quake. No big deal.

Same here in San Sia. My plant sitting on a table jumped up and down a bit though :-)

“No big deal.”

If you keep describing sex with your spouse like that, you’re going to get into marriage trouble.

There's a list of 120 responses so far from people in 24 different cities posted on the Did You Feel It ? section of USGS' coverage of this earthquake.

Someone in Hong Kong has posted that they felt the quake. The sensation felt in Hong Kong was rated as Magnitude 2.

It should have. I found it interesting that scientists said right away, although it was unexptected, it had nothing to do with climate change.

You're welcome, La Enchiladita. While not surprising I don't think I'll ever get used to being jolted awake to the sound of flying books, furniture and walking refrigerators. Just something about it is unsettling. ;)

"What part of Taipei?"

Taoyuan, about half way between Taipei and Hsinchu.
