I know that house. It’s in Frisco N.C. on the outer banks.

Gaia is angry. We must appease her by throwing Al Gore into a volcano.

I didn’t know he was injured either. When we finally got in contact with him later that day of the earthquake, he said he was “just fine, Mom.” When I picked him up at the airport today, I didn’t hardly recognise him....he was so bruised.

He’s off to China next week. So watch for some kind of disaster there. LOL!

I think they had to be up near 5.0 magnitude for us to feel hear (roughly 50 miles away). They were enough of a shake to notice, but not enough to be scary."

When I first moved to California I thought earthquakes were no big deal, they were of course of interest to me, but I felt that they were nothing to fear, nothing to be startled about. That was until I was in, I think it was around a 5.8 quake.

On a mountain on solid bedrock would be one of my dream places to live, except during firestorms or floods. Oh and the mountain could not be anywhere near a volcanic area, except maybe a "safe" area in Hawaii. ;)

But then again, a century ago, those major earthquakes didn’t happen once about once every 30 days on average.

I wonder if there have been other periods in the last several decades where there are so many big quakes in such a short time?
