Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) will not seek re-election after only one term in office.
According to several House aides on both sides of the aisle the House ethics committee has been informed of allegations that Massa, who is married with two children, sexually harassed a male staffer.
Massa and his office did not immediately respond to requests for comment, but his office has scheduled a press conference for later this afternoon.
Massa, a 20-year Navy veteran, was elected to office last November. He serves on the Agriculture, Armed Services and Homeland Security committees.

Makes me wonder how many of this type of incident would occur in the military if don’t ask don’t tell is repealed. He apparently served 20 years in the Navy without harassing anyone. I have serious doubts as to whehter he could have done that, if had had been allowed to be open about his sexual preferences.

Unfortunately, this guy voted against health care bill because it wasnt single payer. He may vote for it now he has nothing to lose. He has to go back home after his term is finished...angry neighbors make lousy neighbors.

If thats all he mustered in NY on Obamas coattails, Id say that seat is a Republican lock for 2010.The district is very rural and was solidly Republican until Chautauqua County was removed and the southernmost suburbs of Rochester added to it during the most recent gerrymandering several years ago.

The funny thing is that all this happens while they’re in power. You’d think they’d get something right, but apparently they’re just a bunch of Keystone Cops.

Well, the NY Times still has not reported this yet.

Their only rule is that there aren’t any stinkin’ rules. Even though he’s a dead man politically, they need somebody’s “d” ass in that seat for as long as legally possible, if not longer.

Do you need further evidence to know that the political class in this country must be destroyed. They are a pox to our civilization.
