"Campbell Brown . . . the only non-partisan cable news anchor at 8 pm." -- CNN description of Campbell Brown show
"Non-partisan": yeah, right. The hit that Brown, with help from reporter Dana Bash, put on Jim Bunning this evening was worthy of that hyper-partisan guy over at MSNBC in the 8 PM ET slot.
Bash first narrated a classic of the liberal media genre: an anecdotal story of someone allegedly hurt by hard-hearted Republican policies. Bash claimed that "in the real world," Bunning's position is having a "devastating effect" on people like single mother Madonna Alvarez.
It got worse . . .

“Non-partisan” Brown airs CNN hit piece on Bunning. Ping to Today show list.
Sounds like just another LameStream Media oink-ess squealing about government trough feeders not getting their usual time in the trough.
A pox upon all trough feeders and presstitutes, alike!
PROOF. Just produce the PROOF that ANYONE has not received extended unemployment. LIES
All liberals, Brown included, are nothing but a bunch of lying commies. Why the hell did we get all the fanfare and the state media’s kissing of Obama’s ass when the ‘RATS passed “Pay Go” if they never intended to use it? Commies are piggies. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
Why do ‘journalists’ produce hit pieces? Is this what they are taught in journalism school?
Its the “Unemployment” Stupid.
Its the deficit, Stupid.
Sarah gets a breather from the attack media ? Charlie Rangel gets a cover story ?
If the dimowits cared at all about this bill, they would have carved the $10 billion out of the unspent porkulus funding.
Bunning seems to be the only Senator willing to do anything other than pay lip service to out of control spending.
One should not watch MSM nor Democrat politicians. These people have no clue about living in the real world.
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 03 Mar 2010 at 01:24:36 AM GMT is:
The estimated population of the United States is 307,937,015
so each citizen's share of this debt is $40,631.86.
The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$3.96 billion per day since September 28, 2007!
Concerned? Then tell Congress and the White House!
Hopefully this is the shot across the bow. May the next one be at the waterline.
These are no longer unemployment benefits, they are welfare payments. There is apparently no end to them, no one even debates the wisdom of extending these benefits for years on end, and only ONE Senator even asks how we might pay for this.
And it appears the American people are a-okay with this, and even outraged that some gadfly ballplayer had the nerve to suggest an interruption of this freebie gravy train.
At some point I am hoping the majority of us who actually work, save and spend responsibly might rise up and put an end to this nonsense, but I guess that is to much to ask for.
It’s what keeps them employed by their lib employers...see what just happened to ABC.
Horse ****. I haven't been this angry over the deliberate distortion of a news story since Katrina. I hate these ******* swine.
“These are no longer unemployment benefits, they are welfare payments.”
Precisely: which is what I called them in the NewsBusters item. Once they are “extended,” by definition they are more than people paid for through their contributions and become welfare.
Who cares? Many posts to FR threads get more viewers than Campbell Brown. Last one at CNN, turn out the lights.
Madonna, donde esta su esposo?
Where's the CNN story on the devastating effect of paying for all of these people?
