If they make it to my door, they better be able to run back to the gate in less than 30 seconds, because my German Shepherd sure can ; )
Are you a citizen of the United States is not one of them.
I thought the Census was used to determine the number of representatives from your state?
so if I put “human” for race, will I get a special visit?
For those who are toowimpy to refuse, we also have the Clinton Option: be truthful but not helpful.
My race? HUMAN.
Other questions will get similar answers. You want my phone number? 555-1212 (information), since you can get my phone number there.
You do realize that by being a stranger and coming onto my property past the many “Do Not Trespass” and “Beware of Dog” signs we have posted, that my dog has every right to defend his property, right?
I saw an article begging people to fill out the census.
According to the article, in Travis county, TX. 16,000 were not counted in the last census, causing the county to lose $250,000,000.
Is this even possible?
“They deliver it”
Don’t you understand this is “job creation” provided by hard working Americans.
Credit to be piled on the bozo -resident.
Now in addition to an affirmative action -resident, we have affirmative action census takers!
Yeh and I will set out my 2 and a half pound yorkie.
Posted this on another thread. This came to me via email through DoD channels:
WARNING: 2010 Census Cautions from the Better Business Bureau
Be Cautious About Giving Info to Census Workers
by Susan Johnson
With the U.S. Census process beginning, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) advises people to be cooperative, but cautious, so as not to become a victim of fraud or identity theft. The first phase of the 2010 U.S. Census is under way as workers have begun verifying the addresses of households across the country. Eventually, more than 140,000 U.S. Census workers will count every person in the United States and will gather information about every person living at each address including name, age, gender, race, and other relevant data.
The big question is - how do you tell the difference between a U.S. Census worker and a con artist? BBB offers the following advice:
** If a U.S. Census worker knocks on your door, they will have a badge, a handheld device, a Census Bureau canvas bag, and a confidentiality notice. Ask to see their identification and their badge before answering their questions. However, you should never invite anyone you dont know into your home.
** Census workers are currently only knocking on doors to verify address information.
Do not give your Social Security number, credit card or banking information to anyone, even if they claim they need it for the U.S. Census.
REMEMBER, NO MATTER WHAT THEY ASK, YOU REALLY ONLY NEED TO TELL THEM HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE AT YOUR ADDRESS.
While the Census Bureau might ask for basic financial information, such as a salary range, YOU DONT HAVE TO ANSWER ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION.
The Census Bureau will not ask for Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers, nor will employees solicit donations. Any one asking for that information is NOT with the Census Bureau.
AND REMEMBER, THE CENSUS BUREAU HAS DECIDED NOT TO WORK WITH ACORN ON GATHERING THIS INFORMATION.. No ACORN worker should approach you saying he/she is with the Census Bureau.
Eventually, Census workers may contact you by telephone, mail, or in person at home. However, the Census Bureau will not contact you by Email, so be on the lookout for Email scams impersonating the Census.
CONSTITUION
Yeah, that will work...........????

Roflol...awww jeesshh I’m sorry..I was mad!! lol
Already sealed it....and I have not figured out how to post pics on FR for what....10 yrs. now?? lol
I promise I spelled it right when I wrote it!!! lol
I wouldn’t take it..he threw it through the door..lol.said it HAD to leave it!!
you do realize that the census worker who comes to your door is just someone who lives in your neighborhood, who is trying to make some extra money from a temporary job, and not a full fledged federal employee, right?

I don’t care....:) they are working for the enemy.
To FUNNY...I hope they are getting some grief...not because they are working but because they will go back and complain!!!! Make them complain and HATE doing this for the gov. It is merely a statement and a stand.
I would have to lie about how many people live at my residence. I certainly don’t want to tell a census taker that I live alone.

Let me help...
“The actual Enumeration shall be made...in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.”
In other words, they must count individual people to arrive at a number, but if they figure out that one way of counting works better than others, they can make law say that’s how it’s to be done.
I do see how they could require everyone to fill out a form; or come outside at 6:00 AM on a given day, so counters in jeeps could come by and count them; or have everyone return to the city of his birth to be registered (see Luke 2). I’m just as glad they send out forms, myself.
I don’t see anything about skin color or number of bathrooms in there, so I’d be just fine with spoofing any such question.
OK, then any question which does not ask for a specific number is not Constitutionally required information.
And as another poster has pointed out, the Fifth Amendment protects us from having to divulge information that could be used against us by the government.
Fourth Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated...
Our personal information should/could be considered papers or effects and collection or confiscation under force of law or threat of jail would be a "violation".
Fifth Amendment: ...nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself...
Can you assure everyone that NONE of the information will be used by the government [local, state or federal] at some future time for some reason against the person who provided that information? I think the Miranda warning states "can and will be used against you in a court of law". That's why you don't say anything to a law enforcement officer for any reason. Up until they read you your Miranda rights, anything you say can be used, even if you are not the one involved... you could be if the LEO's decide to charge you with something.
Fifth Amendment: nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law...
Courts have ruled that your personal data or information is "property", so again, where's the due process afforded requiring you to divulge your personal information?
Fourteenth Amendment: 2. Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed.
It seems that this wording indicates again that the "enumeration" is based upon "whole number of persons" and not how many toilets are in their dwelling or how many hours they work or if they are in fact employed, etc. Again, "whole number of persons", not dwellings, toilets, relatives, cat, dogs, livestock or whatever the form has on it.
These are just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could find enough court cases or case law to back up the ownership or privacy of our personal data to the point that it would be difficult for the government to pursue any criminal or civil case against a person who gave only the number, and possibly ages, to the census bureau. Just the fact that you never hear of anyone being charged or prosecuted for withholding information or refusing to provide it. If there were any cases, the government would trumpet it to high heavens during the census. That they don't says even more.
