We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change (Mega Barf Alert!)
New York Times ^ | February 28, 2010 | Al Gore

It would be an enormous relief if the recent attacks on the science of global warming actually indicated that we do not face an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it.

Of course, we would still need to deal with the national security risks of our growing dependence on a global oil market dominated by dwindling reserves in the most unstable region of the world, and the economic risks of sending hundreds of billions of dollars a year overseas in return for that oil. And we would still trail China in the race to develop smart grids, fast trains, solar power, wind, geothermal and other renewable sources of energy — the most important sources of new jobs in the 21st century.

But what a burden would be lifted! We would no longer have to worry that our grandchildren would one day look back on us as a criminal generation that had selfishly and blithely ignored clear warnings that their fate was in our hands. We could instead celebrate the naysayers who had doggedly persisted in proving that every major National Academy of Sciences report on climate change had simply made a huge mistake.

I know it, but its laughable that our taking away their one resource stream would result in “more security”

The Rat Party would be pathetic - if it wasn't so harmful & oppressive.

Al Gore: The Elmer Gantry of the Environmental Movement. One of the green human-haters trying to create the world in their image!

You know Al, your science sucks, you’ve been winning by bullying and intimidation just like the goons at East Anglia University. You have had a fawning press but that ice flow is starting to melt. And guess what, you are in violation of the Mann Act, transportation of deceptive ideas across state lines for immoral purposes. Your hockey con-game is over, the Medieval Warming Period cannot be refuted and we are inside those temperatures - no matter how your lackeys try to lie about it. Your models never predicted snow like this, you are changing your predictions to meet the facts. Everything conveniently always points to Global Warming, if it is too hot, if it is too cold, if it rains, if there is drought - all Global Warming - all created be evil man exploiting the world, now the world must be saved by you. Where have we heard this before? Look - this is the same tired old Marxist-Hegelian dialectic warmed over - a reader just need exchange the original model i.e. human history defined by the class struggle and the oppression of uncaring capitalists to the current green psycho model that our climate and pending Earthly climate catastrophe can always be defined by anthropogenic global warming through the exploitation of our atmosphere by selfish capitalists. Gore is Marx - why does he insist on emulating a failure?

Gore, you are exposed, your mansion, your private jet, your massive carbon footprint, your investments in green energy scams, your blatant hypocrisy...all now seen for what they are - lies for money, lies for power, lies for fame.

Confess your sins, write them down like a contrite Marxist, tell the world you are sorry for your deceptive practices done to enrich yourself and bring you fame. Promise us that you will be a better human, that you will change your ways, everyday, to try as hard as you can to be good. One day you may make it back to the truth, we are counting on you.

I refuse to call this man a boob because I am rather fond of boobs; however, I shall say that he is a shifty, skeevy hustler with the brain of a chickpea.

MONDAY'S GREGALOGUE: HE'S BACK, AND BACKIER THAN EVER

Well, he's back like Chucky, and twice as Yucky.

I speak not of my former houseboy Roderigo (we still can't find him, alas), but Al Gore, who mysteriously disappeared as his self-propelled universe of climate change hysteria started to crumble around him.

Gore was always "the boy in the plastic bubble" - he could go anywhere and say anything he wanted about the coming apocalypse - but you couldn't say anything back. He was protected by the shared assumptions of a like-minded media, fawning academics and that cool habit of skipping out of conferences before those awkward Q and A sessions.

But now he's reared his hallucinatory head - in yet another bubble - the New York Times op-ed section. There he addresses the "climate-gate" mess - but being a true believer, he prefers to call it an "attack" on science, and focuses only on details he feels comfortable defending.

He sidesteps Phil Jones' revelations of no global warming in the last fifteen years, and the fact that the famed "hockey stick" graph that Gore embraced like a bag of éclairs, is a fraud.

So what is Gore's defense? He writes...

"But the scientific enterprise will never be completely free of mistakes."

And therein lies the hubris. Fact is, just months ago, Gore would have told you there were no mistakes when it came to manmade global warming science. Belief was pure.

Now, after all the fabrications, cover-ups and "mistakes" have been exposed, you have the commander-in-climate...shrugging.

Of course, he still clings to catastrophe, pretending it's based on fact. But facts are not what you're hearing. What you're hearing is all the air coming out of the bubble.

And if you disagree with me, then you sir are worse than a racist homophobe who eats polar bears.

Is it standard procedure for NYT to have a commentary thread after articles and opinions? I don’t visit their site often.

Reading a list of commentary of this piece on the NYT site would be priceless.
