On the same day the anti-illegal immigration group Americans for Legal Immigration endorsed former Congressman J.D. Hayworth in his bid to unseat Senator John McCain as the GOP candidate for Senate, the McCain campaign is calling on Hayworth to disavow the endorsement.
"J.D. Hayworth's lavish praise for the social theories of noted anti-Semite and xenophobe Henry Ford sparked a major controversy during his losing 2006 campaign, causing many Arizonans to question Mr. Hayworth's judgment. It is astounding that Mr. Hayworth would today accept the endorsement of a group that the Anti-Defamation League reports is backed by white supremacists, neo-Nazis and anti-Semites. Mr. Hayworth should immediately disavow this group's support," says Brian Rogers, the McCain campaign's Communications Director.
Hayworth has already accepted the endorsements of Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Minutemen co-founder Chris Simcox, so what's a few more human-rights hooligans, right?

He just added a nail to his reelection coffin ....let him go, he and his liberal wife and daughter will sink the ship
Duh, I think only mccain would take advice from the opposition. But I’m sure his motives have only the poor immigrants in mind.

Senator John McCain's Remarks at the 2008 Annual Conference
And if all else fails, he can just pull out the POW card.
I’m against Aniti Bryant immigrating any where in America.
The extremist Leftist homosexual agenda is too far flung as it is.
Can Democrats win the primary for McCain? Know if they have an organized effort to do it?
McCain does realize this a Republican primary doesn’t he?
I mean he admits publicly that he was too stupid to understand TARP, and thinks his constituents are too stupid to understand Vitamin C, and now he’s going after JD on illegal immigration?
He should invite at least one conservative to his DC cocktail parties every once in a while to find out what’s on their mind.
Does he have any more feet left to shoot himself in? (Grammar Police - KMA!)
"Anti-immigration group"? What am I missing here?
If this keeps up, I'm going to have to start doing recreational drugs just to keep up with this kind of crap.
“Anti-Defamation League reports is backed by white supremacists, neo-Nazis and anti-Semites.”
The ADL and John McCain...now there is a pair to draw to!
Anyone supporting John McCain and the subversive, dishonest tactics he employs should get out of the country along with the illegal aliens! I can promise you this....McCain will NEVER get the endorsement of dozens of anti illegal immigration groups like ALIPAC. NONE of them are anti hispanic or anti immigration.
Perhaps the ADL/McCain need to find out what AMERICANS think..they are represented by ALIPAC..YES, even ‘hispanic’ Mexican Americans!
Minority Advocates, Constituents Differ on Immigration - Zogby poll
Zogby Finds Wide Support for Enforcement, Lower legal entry Numbers - Feb. 25, 2010
The overall findings of this poll show a significant divide between the perception that minority voters want legalization and increased legal immigration and the reality, which is that they want enforcement and less immigration
In contrast to the leadership of many ethnic advocacy groups, most members of minority groups think immigration is too high.
* Hispanics: 56 percent said it is too high; 7 percent said too low; 14 percent just right. * Asian-Americans: 57 percent said immigration is too high; 5 percent said too low; 18 percent just right. * African-Americans: 68 percent said it is too high; 4 percent said too low; 14 percent just right.
Most members of minority groups do not feel that illegal immigration is caused by limits on legal immigration as many ethnic advocacy groups argue; instead, members feel its due to a lack of enforcement.
* Hispanics: Just 20 percent said illegal immigration was caused by not letting in enough legal immigrants; 61 percent said inadequate enforcement. * Asian-Americans: 19 percent said not enough legal immigration; 69 percent said inadequate enforcement. * African-Americans: 16 percent said not enough legal immigration; 70 percent said inadequate enforcement.
Most members of minority groups feel that there are plenty of Americans available to fill unskilled jobs.

He won't because he can't, my friends.
Well, he really wants to stay in the senate.
John McCain - La Raza's voice in Washington
You want straight talk? McCains tongue says hes listened and learned. But his heart is with La Raza, the militantly ethnocentric, anti-immigration enforcement Hispanic lobbying group that honored him in 1999 and whose annual conference he keynoted in 2004.
“Can Democrats win the primary for McCain? Know if they have an organized effort to do it?”
ACORN
“So, being against illegal aliens is by McCains words being, anti immigration.
McCain is a traitor to this country!”
To look at McCain’s campaign website, he is exactly on the same side as Alipac and any anti illegal alien group...
But then he lies like the dog he is.
For a really good laugh, you should see McCains campaign website on this issue...Youd think he was Tom Tancredo today!!
Of course he says hes not for amnesty.
Remember this is the guy who said, [Ill build the g.Damned fence if thats what you want!]
Good old John...trying to fool the public yet again.

John McCain is committed to securing our borders.
John McCain does not support amnesty

Poll: Voters Unaware of Candidates Immigration Positions; McCain Supporters Farthest Off the Mark
# Only 34 percent of McCain voters, 42 percent of Clinton voters, and 52 percent of Obama voters correctly identified their candidate as favoring eventual citizenship for illegal immigrants who meet certain requirements.
# Of McCain voters, 35 percent mistakenly thought he favored enforcement that would cause illegals to return home, another 10 percent thought he wanted mass deportations, and 21 percent didnt know his position.
# Voters often held different positions from the candidate they supported. Only 31 percent of McCain voters had the same immigration position as he does
Keep lyin to them, John!! Its the only way you can win.
Hayworth needs to respond with a call for McCain to disavow his praise and positive comments about ACORN that he made at that infamous rally in 2006, when he told those leftists and radicals that “you (they) are what makes America special”.
STFU McCain, you’re gonna go down so fast you’ll think you’re back in that A-4 Skyhawk.
I’m sure he’ll save the “JD is a chickenhawk” for the final stretch run
