Rep. Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who has recently been under attack by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and lavished with praise by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), is ruling out a 2012 run for president.
Over the weekend, Ryan was singled out for praise by Palin during her interview with Fox News Sunday.
"[W]e have some strong -- some young Turks in this party, said Palin. Paul Ryan -- Im very impressed with Paul Ryan. . . . Hes good. Man, he is sharp. He is smart, articulate. And he is passionate about these commonsense solutions that America has got to adopt to get us on the right road.
"I'll give you as Shermanesque a quote as I can," said Ryan. "I am not going to run for president. I'm just not going to do it. My head's not that big, and my kids are too small.

That’s good. We need him more in the congress
oops forgot to post the link! Sorry
Ping to Ralph. Guess his wife put her foot down, LOL!
Sounds like to me he has definetly made an impact on some reporters.
I agree with Palin. He bitch slapped Zero Yesterday.
Zero would lose a Presidential Debate against him.
This is my personal Congressman, here in SE Wisconsin. We are very proud of him. Perhaps he’d consider being a VP candidate in 2012. Racine, WI loves Ryan.
He’ll run. Count on it.
He’ll run. Count on it.
Sounds like just the kind of guy we NEED to run for President but I don't blame him for not wanting to go through the bs it takes to run. I agree with Palin though...Ryan is shap as a tack. I'm reading his Roadmap plan now and am very impressed!
Hi AM,
I forgot to post the URL Link to the full article in the original news thread. Please let me know if you can correct this. Here’s the link:

Thanks.
Why won’t he run against Feingold? Or does he think Tommy Thompson will take that role?
Ryan rocks - he should run for POTUS.
You can bet the 0bama/left/media axis is already going through Ryan’s trash and kindergarten records to find smearing material.
Heck I'm from SC and I want to know if we can borrow him for a while. That boy acts like he got raised down here! And trust me, that's one of the biggest compliments this Southern Boy can give. :)

He is smarter than the current occupant of the White House. He understands that the person in that position needs experience. It seems hard to believe that the country would be willing to take a chance with a Congressman after the failure that now abides on Pennsylvania Avenue. It seems that the odds will be with a governor being the only serious contender for the White House in 2012. With the polling of Congress being so low at the moment, it is difficult to believe that anyone who is a member of that group could ever be elected to the Presidency. It seems to me that we would elect a CEO or a CFO before we would elect a congressman in the next Presidential election.
I think Paul Ryan is an admirable man...and I have had the opportunity to watch him for a long time. He has always been respectful and he is very impressive.
Whether he runs or not, it’s good to know that we have some new people coming up in leadership roles and are building a credible bench so we don’t have to rely on also-rans at presidential election time.

How come, when a politician named Ryan finally comes along who isn’t a sleazebag, he’s from WI and not IL?
Jack Ryan - handed Obama his Senate seat after scandal
George Ryan - Former Governor, currently in the federal pen
But Paul Ryan did a masterful job of handing Obama his ass yesterday, and is from Janesville, just across the border ;-)
