Sarah Palin advocate the Tea Parties taking over the Republican party (vanity)
Thursday February 25, 2010 | bigtigermike

She was just on Hannity talking about the Healthcare Summit and she was asked about the the notion of a third party starting up. She said NO THIRD PARTY! she made a good point that starting a third party would require creating a whole new infrastructure, when the best thing is for the Tea Party is to pick a party, get in there on the inside and taking it over and it should be the Republican party.....She talked about Reagan and him advocating a revitalized party, the tea parties should be that vehicle to make.

No wonder the establishment despises her.

Forget Newt, Steele, McCain, and Graham.

DeMint, Palin, Pence, and Rubio are the future of the republican party!

I loved how she said she wants the tea party movement to take over the Republican party. I totally agree..The GOP Establishment will never change their spots, the Tea Party movement is the perfect group to make some REAL changes in the GOP

And for some people like CPAC Norquist criticize her when he has a group advocating amnesty in so many words?

A third party movement would simply mean these great ideas and all the passion behind them will die in 2012. It may sound like the fun thing to do but it is very much the wrong thing to do.

Instead, working to return the Republican party to Conservative principles, just as Reagan did, will be harder, will frustrate many of those who are sick of RINOs and the political ass-kissing process it will take to make it happen, but the reward will very likely be landslide victories and one unemployed community organizer.

I see the tea parties differently. I see them as spontaneous and almost fully disorganized. And that’s the way I like it. The less organized the better.

I don’t want the tea parties to take over anything. Neither do I want them to be taken over by any entity. I want them to be a perpetual demonsration of reverence for the Constitution.

If it becomes more organized than that, it can be controlled and manipulated. I don’t want that, ever.

And the fact that we don’t have the time to setup a third party with Obama and the Dems wrecking havoc. Sarah is right, the whole process of setting up something like that needs a massive amount of money and organization and Tea parties and conservatives don’t even agree on everything as a platform except for fiscal responsibility.

Exactly what I have been saying. Get on the primary ballot as a candidate for precinct captain. It only takes 10 signatures in my state. One third to one half of the positions are open - you could probably run unopposed.

Only the ELECTED captains get to vote for party leadership. Captains get input on the party platform and endorse candidates. Since most people, don’t pay a lot of attention to politics, they will often vote for the candidate endorsed by the precinct captain.

It only takes about 3 hours to perform the job(leaves plenty of time for the T party activity). Quickest way to increase the power of the T party movement. Takeover the Republican Party, eject the Rhino leadership, and ensure that conservative candidates get support and votes.JMHO

Palin based her comment on the misconception we have a two party system. The reality is the OP(formerly the GOP) has incrementally merged with the socialist RATs over the years with its big tent, reach out across the aisle, in the spirit of bipartisanship mentality thereby forming one big socialist Republirat party. Another party would be the second party.

Sara needs to take complete control of her media appearences and be prepared. I was not happy with her bit on Fox today.

Everybody got complaints, complaints *sigh*

She did well considering a long delay between satellite feeds, its hard to do those things like that, She may also had a cold from the sound of her voice.

...Tea parties and conservatives don’t even agree on everything as a platform except for fiscal responsibility.

And that needs to be the focus. The government is sucking the economy dry. If we all end up on the streets eating dog food, there are going to be more important social issues than the ones currently being discussed.

Sarah did okay at the beginning, but she went into campaign mode with her voicing going up an octave and the beginnings of the Hillary screech.

She needs to tone it down and be more even.

Republicans suck! It's obvious there's no difference between the two parties! Just look at how they were the same today!

Do you know how much of a moron you sound like?
