Environmental activists have blasted Harrison Ford for making "unnecessary" trips by air, following revelations he once made a jet journey to buy a cheeseburger.

What’s avgas going for these days anywho? Haven’t gone in search of the $100 burger in a few years.
I keep swearing that I’ll stop by “Checkers” and get two “Big Bufords” for $3. Haven’t made it yet, but my willpower is rapidly crumbling.
I've heard that you sould also avoid RUSH HOUR.
I don't eat them daily, but when I go to California anywhere we them them as often as possible.
“The runway slopes uphill causing some pilots to set down in the middle of the runway and roll clear off the edge.”
Land on the numbers.
Well, I’ve driven over 100 miles for a cheesteak and pizza on two separate occasions. Sinatra at least had the courtesy to have others pick up sandwiches at the same place where I purchased said cheesesteak and fly them to him when on the road.
I'm hoping he got her a sack full.
Well, well, well. It’s about time the carbon nannies caught up with GA (HEAVY Sarcasm off)
Harrison Ford does a tremendous service to GA. He’s a worthy successor to General Yeager and Ciff Robertson in terms of their service to GA.
Indeed, flying is an exhilarating freedom.
Having flown for a few decades (sometimes for much less than a cheeseburger). I never fail to marvel at the freedom. Flying has inherent challenges, responsibilities, and costs; however I always seem to reflect on just what miraculous technology and freedom is aviation.
.
Amen.
And don’t forget what happened to all the support services when yachts were slapped with punitive luxury taxes. People lost jobs and businesses went south.
If he wants to fly somewhere because he wants that $100 burger or to involve kids in the joys of flight, I don’t have the slightest problem with it.
This is still America.
I’ve tried our local In & Out, and didn’t much care for the burgers. I also tried the one in Vacaville, and didn’t care for the burger there either. I prefer chocolate to Strawberry shakes, and they do make a very good chocolate shake. I DO NOT like their french fries. I’ve got to admit, it’s been a very very long time since I tried one of their burgers. Maybe they’ve gotten better with time.
Agreed.
“If anyone took the time to look up what percentage of the atmosphere is CO2; even if it were doubled it would be insignificant.”
IIRC, it’s 0.03% of the atmosphere.
Oh, a cheeseburger. Thats no problem. I thought he did something Stupid like fly to Denmark for some BS summit.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
And he got what he went for.
I believe so.
I do believe Vacaville is at the end of the line. The location list below shows it to be overwhelmingly a Souvrn’ California operation. That means they have better turnover there, and should have a higher quality product. See ~ http://www.in-n-out.com/pdf/locations_printable.pdf
How do they know what is necessary for Ford?
Mind your own business ENVIROS!
“Well, he did travel all the way from Hoth to Bespin just to get away from that bounty hunter.”
And he wound up encased in carbonite for his trouble.
Did you build that sweet thing all by yourself or buy it built? It doesn’t matter which to me. it’s the RV in the hand that matters, the building just adds a little personal touch, but once airborne...
I had noticed in a previous thread you mentioned living in an airpark, but no mention of an airplane. Now we know. Thanks. took me more than a year of listening to Rush before he let it slip what he owned.
Does that remark have a sexual connotation?
