ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Trainers will continue to work with a killer whale that grabbed one of their colleagues and dragged her underwater, killing her, but SeaWorld said Thursday it is reviewing its procedures.
People lined up to get into the Orlando park a day after the whale named Tilikum killed veteran trainer Dawn Brancheau as a horrified audience watched.
Tilikum had been involved in two previous deaths, including a Canadian trainer dragged under water by him and two others whales in 1991.

On the local TV they said they were not supposed to go in the water with this whale. So they obviously knew it was a problem animal.
No “three-strikes” law?
I say its time to turn him into Sushi...
What IS a killer whale? It kills people or mammals? I mean, all fish kill other fish, so in that description they’d all be killers. Not being sarcastic, really what IS a killer whale?
My initial reaction was that the whale should be put down. But the more I thought about it, the more I considered the human life that was taken. I’m certain that the woman who died would not want the whale killed. Her family and colleagues are not calling for the whale to die, why should I be any different.
If life is to be respected, I’d like to respect the life that was taken. Keep the whale alive.
Two more and that whale will be an ace.
Me thinks the fish is a democrat, and is now garnering special treatment in line with the Alabama Harvard professor
A giant dolphin.
one local station last nite also said that the trainer had slipped and fallen into the water and drowned....said the whale had nothing to do with her death despite all the eye witnesses...
Imagine, a killer whale KILLING.
FREE THE WHALE! Let it go find a pod and go kill seals and penguins.
too bad they no longer have a Sea World park in Cleveland.
Sending this whale there right about now would be the ideal punishment...

A whale that cannot explain it's whereabouts on Oct 4, 2009 at about 10:30PM.
It’s a very large predator.
Killer whales are actually dolphins, which, like whales are mammals and not fish. Some whales (baleen) actually don’t have teeth and filter the water for small creatures. Whales and dolphins evolved from land animals that were likely vegetarians...
at 1:50 a pelican lands in the Seaworld tank and is promptly eaten by the whales:

that 3-strike bull orca should be released back ot the wild, gradually reintroduced if necessary. I can imagine living his entire life in a small tank would frustrate a full grown breeding male of any species
The fact they are keeping him speaks ill of Sea World- Free Tillie
Ranking behind sperm whales, they are the world’s second largest carnivorous animal.
With 3 humans dead, and no accountability,
they ought rename the ORCA after Amy Bishop (Democrat).
