Trooper once tied to Jones suit fired
ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE
The Arkansas State Police last week fired a longtime trooper a man once linked to passing to news organizations damaging information about former President Bill Clintons time as governor.
Fired Feb. 18 for reasons the state police declined to disclose, Ronnie Anderson was first hired as a civilian employee in 1977 and commissioned as a trooper in 1985, state police spokesman Bill Sadler said.
Anderson has 10 days from the date of his firing to appeal his termination. Until then, the agency will not release any records related to the firing, citing a provision in the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.
Anderson could not be reached for comment.
Anderson was one of four troopers who spoke to the Los Angeles Times and The American Spectator in 1993 about Clintons purported dalliances while governor of Arkansas. He spoke anonymously his name was not used in the articles but his identity later became public.
In a sworn affidavit prepared in the Paula Jones sexual-harassment lawsuit, later settled, and cited by Salon magazine in 1998, Anderson said his role was negligible, confirming only that he had heard the same rumors as other people.
Hell...I even had an Eschoir (or Quiddom) moment.
“troopergate”
Now where have we heard that term...?
Quiddam! How about Deep in the Hurtgeren Forest..? hahahah! Old times...!
33 years in as a state employee, 25 which were as a state trooper. Somebody with that amount of time in service is almost never fired from state service no matter what they do. They are just strongly advised to retire for any wrongdoing. The state must think they have a really strong case or they will quickly be facing an age discrimination suit.
Whatever happened to Eschoir? The guy sure was a pain in the %$#^.
I still miss A+Bert....
So he was outed... by an organization that was not supposed to disclose information...
“I even had an Eschoir (or Quiddom) moment.”
Wasn’t it Quidam? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quidam
And did anyone prove conclusively he was a fraud?
The Clintons have a loooooooong memory, and are still settling old scores.
Threatening to spill the beans on what really happened to Danny Ferguson’s wife wasn’t enough to protect his job anymore?
They’ll find his body next week on the tracks outside the Mena Airport.
