Televised Meeting to talk about healthcare..........
Send it to him! If obamacare goes through, folks like me will be even more dependent on our alternative treatments. Add McCain’s junk bill to that and it’s the hospice chute for us all. Literally a death warrant, IMO.
I’m a little late in posting this as I’m still trying to catch up on this HUGE thread! I went over to TMZ and read some of the comments - they are despicable!!!
It seems to liberals a man does not need to support their child and said child does not deserve support if............
They do not like the child’s Grandmother, Grandfather or Mother, for any reason no matter how inane.
If they think he’s “hot”.
If they do not like the politics of the people involved.
If the Grandparents have more money then liberals think they should have and dared to purchase anything for the child or mother with it.
Liberalism really is a mental disorder.
If the owners of TMZ had any shame (they obviously don’t) they would be embarrassed at the caliber of their users; or scared as some are clearly unhinged.
theres a commercial attacking Obama and the Democrats on healthcare using Obamas words about putting lipstick on a pig, with a fat cartoon pig in the ad wearing lipstick. LOL!
*****
I saw that ad, too. I didn’t see who is responsible for it, but I saw that they used the video clip of Obama saying the ‘lipstick-on-a-pig, still-a-pig’ comment during one of his campaign speeches - you remember - where he used the subtle middle finger against the jaw gesture. He is such a low class individual!
I am hoping that we all learn more about that ad!
It will have to be sneaky. 73% of Americans want the bill scrapped.
Who are you referring to?
You said: going after the fired Dan Abrams of MSNBC
I asked if dan Abrams was one who got fired in the downsizing at MSNBC.
I didn’t watch...you all kept me up to date and tuned in with your great comments! :-)
I had workers here all day!
God bless America!
I suppose, which might explain why he is very bitter, so says Olberman. The fact Olberman and Matthews remain is a real head scratcher.
Interesting observation, where you make the time cut-off in Shep’s behavior. I didn’t watch him previously, so I can’t say.
Could it be seniority? Or did he get paid more and they were cutting the higher paid employee?
Yeah you put into few words what I failed to articulate--but even still. I think the summit would have benefitted from Palin's presence and her style. A few hours would have been saved and lots of spin cut.
Plus she wouldn't have let the Dems get away with all the personal, emotional sobfest stories. As a mother with a disabled child, who has visible stake in how the debate affects Americans PERSONALLY, Palin would have translated the bill's implications in bare-bones terms that the average voter can understand.
I would have imagined she'd attack the Obama/Reid/Pelosi agenda in a more head-on way, that would have made for some good soundbytes, while being very gracious.
Honestly there is no point in this summit. All this talk about CBO stats and insurance premiums only CLOUDS the real debate going on in this country: Socialism vs. Freedom. The debate needed to be framed as one on principle and philosophy. The Dems don't care about healthcare legislation, they just want to set the foundations for Socialism. That's ALL this is about--and I wish more people would be bold enough to frame it this way and while challenging the Dems to fess up face to face.
My thoughts: bambi went into this meeting thinking he could control the discussion. I mean, after all, he did it so well during his acornhead meetings back in the day. What he didn't count on was the intellect of the people facing him. He lost control with Lamar Alexander and never got it back. He was skunked and he knew it. He was angry and frustrated. I think he probably had to have some sort of "medicine" during the break.
My biggest frustration? Hearing all the libs saying that the GOP only offered talking points. Then McConnell was asked by reporters why the repubs were using talking points and Mitch validated the question by saying,"Well the dems used their talking points." Why didn't he say, "We offered facts, the dems used talking points and sob stories." I guess it's easy to coach from the bench.
I honestly think Katrina was too much for him and he had a nervous breakdown.. no proof, but I’ve watched Fox almost daily since the came on the air and didn’t see this behavior out of him prior.
I’m guessing it’s one of the Sept 11th threads, an Operation Iraqi Freedom thread or a 2008 election thread.
Advantage plans cover vision and dental. If MA is killed, there were be a lot of myopic, toothless seniors walking around many states (except for Dem Nelson’s FLA carveout). How will that improve their quality of life?
Now that they obama has spoken all the anti Palin freepers will now start telling us how the bill is good because the media says it is and how the dems will now not lose in the fall!
