(CNN) -- The widow of an Internal Revenue Service employee killed when a disgruntled taxpayer flew his plane into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas, last week is suing the pilot's wife, according to court documents.
Valerie Hunter, the wife of Vernon Hunter, is accusing Sheryl Stack, wife of Andrew Joseph "Joe" Stack III, of negligence, alleging she she knew or should have known that her husband was a threat to others and, thus, could have prevented the attack, according to the lawsuit filed Monday in Travis County District Court.

I didnt say they should profit.
Sheesh. I just this that all of them are victims and there has been hurt enough for all of them.
If she did nothing wrong, why is it wrong for her to profit? She was left with nothing and has a child. The “Jersey Girl” widow probably will collect life insurance on her husband.
So I see.
And, if Stack’s family stands to profit? Why should it not go to the victim’s family?
OJ’s victim’s family will never collect. But you sue to keep it from happening.
Good grief.
I haven’t seen any indication that they stand to profit. What is it you know that we don’t? Share.
Yes, I think any profit from the event should go to victims.
If they stand to profit, should they? Shouldn’t that be prevented?
She should counter sue: The idiot works for the IRS and drove her husband to his death.
Her husband was killed by this maniac. Have you no mercy?
Mercy?
Are you serious? And just where do you get the idea that mercy should be involved? Your kid drives recklessly, should YOU be sued and incarcerated because YOU should have known he'd drive recklessly? Maybe the widow should sue Stack's neighbors for not noticing him to be a bit off kilter. Perhaps the IRS should have known Stack was an unstable tax protester and tried to get him institutionalized because he might have been a future danger? What about the FAA? Shouldn't they have had information he might have used one of his planes for a terrorist attack? Stack went to MS Hershey School, very close to where I live. Local stories from those who went to school with him said he had a bad temper. Should they be sued because they knew he had a long history of intemperance?
Stack did what he did. No one else is to blame. His widow did not force him to make his decision to fly that plane into the building. He was a human being with free will. The responsibilities for his actions are his and his alone.
Are you a "lawyer"???
Why should a lawyer profit from this tragedy?
Read my posts.I have not said they stand to profit. This is stand operating procedure ... see “Son of Sam” laws and others.
This is done as a rule to stop any profiteering.
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard!
The pilot's wife should sue the IRS employee's wife (she worked for the IRS also) for helping to drive her husband to suicide.
Isn’t she, too, a victim? Her house was burned down’; she did nothing wrong. Why shouldn’t she be able to support herself and her child without being furhter victimized by the Jersey Girl widow who will probably collect her husband’s life insurance?
LOL but you seem all about a lawyer profiting.
They are all victims.
Mrs Stack isnt culpable here.
Why should a bunch of blood suckers get involved in this tragedy? To ensure that everyone gets the maximum pain while the lawyers make a bundle?
Stack was starting phony churches to avoid paying taxes. He spent and lost money that way.
he IRS guy did nothing wrong.
So, the dead IRS worker has special rights to sue?
This is wrong and should be impossible to win. But- a jury of liberal idiots would probably agree with it!
Well, I never have said they should. Most people hire a lawyer to file the case but don’t have to.
