The FBI has raided three Detroit-area Japanese auto parts makers for a sealed federal antitrust investigation, including Toyota Motor Corp supplier Denso Corp, authorities said on Wednesday.
The FBI's Detroit Division served warrants at Denso, Yazaki North America and Tokai Rika on Tuesday evening, Special Agent Sandra Berchtold said in a statement. The "substance or reason behind the warrants" was not disclosed.

Too little to say for sure, but it sounds like harassment.
If you would like to be added or dropped from the Michigan ping list, please freepmail me.

I have to agree. As this thing progresses it is starting to smell. I did not think so at first but day by day my mind is changing and this one put it over the top for me.
aren’t the Congress-critters doing the Toyota grilling all from MI?
I suspect harrassment.
Sad not to trust our own government.....but I don’t.
Government Motors has the long knives out.
Time to march for Toyota!
Can GM/Chrysler do this to Toyota?
Sabatog? Harassment?...Which ever...We should keep an eye on things....
Hmmmm, Obama owns GM and no one wants to buy GM products. So, instead of competing against Toyota in terms of reliability, selection, price and quality - how about we simply harass Toyota until they leave?
Typical Chicago thuggery. Doesn’t he know any other way of doing things? Genius - my bumpkis ... he’s as dumb as a rock, and has less moral integrity than an alleycat.
Maybe the so called defective parts came from a union supplier in Michigan..
Sounds like good ol’ fashioned fascism!
Seems to me they just did. Probably a lot of urging from the UAW, too.
I had wondered if agents provocateurs had been “slipping a mechanical mickey” to Toyota in order to tarnish their reputation. Toyota just doesn’t have these problems. I’ll tell you if such folks have been damaging Toyota like that, they are responsible for the injuries and deaths that have occurred because of what they did...not Toyota!
I dont think they would do that but the UAW I have no doubts about.
How Hugo Chavez-like of Obama’s FBI.Since Govt. Motors cannot compete with Toyota they want to prosecute them instead. Sick tasbards.
Denso has 6,862 employees in Michigan, Tennessee, Arkansas, California, Virginia and South Carolina, Denso spokeswoman Marlene Goldsmith said. None belongs to unions.
UAW Seeks U.S. Automakers' Help at Denso, People Say
Sounds to me from the article that UAW was strong-arming them at the time like the the thugs they are:
General Motors Corp.,Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC are negotiating with the UAW to shed $114 billion in retiree health- care costs by transferring them to an independent union trust fund. The UAW, trying to halt a two-thirds drop in membership since the 1970s, is using the fund as a bargaining chip to gain a foothold at Denso's U.S. plants, the people said.
Then I found this at another active website:
DMMI and other DENSO companies in North America will continue to be a target for unions. We are proud to be union-free and we think it's a benefit - not just to DMMI, but to you.
They are vigorously opposing the unions and card check on that website. So no, not all Denso plants are union unless they were strong-armed into joining via the GM/Ford/Chrysler deals.
And Nobama is the saboteur of our country.
