Orlando, Florida - A person was found dead Wednesday after an incident inside Shamu Stadium at SeaWorld Orlando.
Emergency personnel were called to the park and found a person dead, according to Orange County Fire Rescue spokesman John Mulhall. The death was not the result of a natural death, he said.
Our partners at WKMG in Orlando say witness Victoria Biniak said she saw a trainer thrashed around by a whale from a viewing area, although that has not been confirmed by park officials.
"The trainer was explaining different things about the whale.. and then the trainer that was down there walked away from the window.. and then Telly (the whale) took off really fast in the tank and he came back, shot up in the air, grabbed the trainer by the waist and started thrashing (her) around," Biniak said.
Part of the park has been closed, witnesses said.
No other details are immediately known.

I wonder if anyone got it on video.
I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the show. I took my family down there about four years ago.
That show has the feel of a religious revival. It is actually sort of spooky, and you come away feeling like you just committed apostacy of some sort.
Not sure how they are going to square all that Whale Worship with having to make sushi out of Telly.
Didn’t an incident like this happen to a performer several years ago during a show?
Problem is that they chant the whales name and have a mystic story relating to boys dream of swimming with these predators. All relating back to the sale of merchandise. Happy Vacations.
May the trainer Rest In Peace
Sometimes fish get carried away.
I believe that is a mammal?
You’re right; actually they are dolphins and are warm blooded, air breathing mammals.
The article says Tilikum has killed twice before. I think it’s time Tilikum was made redundant.
If this whale is convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to death, I wonder what method of death will be used?
I'm thinking death by harpoon.
oops, I misread. He may have once before.
