This is one of those things, if you have to actually say it you have already lost. It ranks right up there with Nixon's “I am not a crook” and Clinton's “I did not have sex with that woman” quotes. Obama is now desperately attempting to assert something that should be taken for granted. His having to say it overtly and directly just proves that there is no confidence in him among business leaders.
