They should be retired to Mecca, Medina and Qom.
this fraud can’t be removed soon enough.
Yeah. /sarc That “world free of atomic weapons” will do a lot of good in Iran and North Korea.

Since per the above thread, there is apparently a ‘war’ just breaking out over who has the president’s ‘ear’. I can’t wait to see who the ‘gravitas’ is behind this program.
Is this what the subs carry? I sure hope he’s not disarming our second strike deterrent.
On balance, so long as we still maintain the 14 boomers carrying on average 10 Tridents each (and those with multiple warheads), it’s still more than enough to take care of everyone we’d ever need to take care of, and then some. I’m not that concerned about letting an aging missile system expire.
Allowing the enemy to get the upper hand, really brilliant... sarcasm.
Answer x 2: President Imanutjob.
Zero wants the money for our military superiority to go into the black hole of our financial meltdown. It is a variation of the socialist’s goal to turn guns to butter.
Once we have met total financial destruction, Zero will have set us up to be ground zer0 to our enemies.
Obama is unilaterally disarming the US, while all our enemies are building nuclear weapons.
Remember that article a few days ago about India and China performing a joint military exercise? When Bush was president, this never would have happened, as India was a US ally.
Glad to know Obama is “restoring” the image of America in the eyes of the world! Oh wait.
What is to keep the Chinese from nuking our carrier fleet a thousand miles east of the Taiwan Straits now?
It’s my understanding the tactical nukes are the air umbrella threat used to get the carrier battle groups toward Taiwan in case of invasion?
>>”...in terms of Tokyo’s three nonnuclear principles of not possessing, producing or allowing nuclear arms on its territory.”
Words on paper. How quickly will these words be changed if we pull out of Japan and Korea; and China decides to get frisky? How many shiploads of PLUTONIUM has Japan gotten from France’s reprocessing of nuclear fuel? Two? Three?
On Sept. 27, 1991, (George H.W.) Bush announced a raft of unilateral initiatives to limit and reduce the U.S. tactical nuclear weapons arsenal.[2] Specifically, he pledged to:withdraw to the United States all ground-launched short-range weapons deployed overseas and destroy them along with existing U.S. stockpiles of the same weapons; and
cease deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on surface ships, attack submarines, and land-based naval aircraft during normal circumstances. Implicitly, the United States reserved the right to redeploy these arms in a crisis.
Destroying them means we couldn't redeploy them to naval platforms in a crisis.
