Pardon the interruption: Tony Kornheiser has been benched from "Pardon the Interruption."
ESPN has banned the print, radio and TV personality from its popular "PTI" show for biting on-air comments he made last week about SportsCenter host Hannah Storm's wardrobe.
Kornheiser, who has built a persona on caustic shots at a wide swath of sports figures, couldn't get away with turning his sights into ESPN's house saying Storm dressed "like she has sausage casing wrapped around her body" and calling the 47-year-old anchor "a Holden Caulfield fantasy," referring to the protagonist in J.D. Salinger's book "The Catcher in the Rye."
Kornheiser opened his ESPN Radio show by briefly addressing the suspension, saying he "had made intemperate remarks, and stupid remarks, about Hannah Storm and as a result of this I have been sent to the sidelines from PTI for a while." The suspension is expected to be for two weeks.
"I've said about a thousand times while doing radio in my life the following sentence: If you put a live microphone in front of somebody, eventually that person will say something wrong. This was one of the times I said something wrong," Kornheiser said. "It seems to me without any question that I broke the rules, and this is the punishment that's come."

But she is a tasty morsel.
Sausage casing PING
Don’t think they finished filling that casing.
hahhaa hahahhaha hahahhahaha
She could definitely use a fashion consultant.
How old are those pictures?
Mid-70’s, I would guess.
I agree with Kornheiser; that outfit in the top pic is HORRIFYING.
The first one is just a day or two old. She's no spring chicken. She was at Notre Dame (as an undergrad) the same time I was there, 30 (ish) years ago.
She’s gorgeous and she does her job well. The clothes don’t annoy me. She looks cute in them. Leave her alone.
Like something out of the disco era.
The bastard!
That skirt is tacky.
Fashion comments? Men are getting too much estrogen in the water supply.
I remember Hannah as the weather girl for one of the Houston tv stations a loooong time ago. Her nickname was “Miss Cold Front”.
LOL, when I saw the top picture, I thought, 1973?
First photo: Imitation teeny-bopper hooker.
Second photo: Looks like a real woman.
However, the question is not whether Kornheiser broke protocol in criticizing her clothing. The question is was he telling the truth.
Telling the truth will ALWAYS get you reprimanded or fired. That is what’s WRONG with America.
Kind of like the "throwback" days in sports where they wear 30-year-old uniforms.
She looks good to me. Maybe Kornheiser is just feeling catty, PMS perhaps?
