Gay people, we will not win our rights by staying silently in our closets… We are coming out. We are coming out to fight the lies, the myths, the distortions. We are coming out to tell the truths about gays, for I am tired of the conspiracy of silence, so I’m going to talk about it. And I want you to talk about it. You must come out. Come out to your parents, your relatives.
Last week at CPAC we saw the many years of work by dedicated conservative gays and lesbians standing up for their values and the principles of freedom and liberty finally pay off. There was a tipping point for gays in America last week at CPAC. It happened because they have been coming out to their parents, friends and relatives over time… as American conservatives who just happen to be gay.

I say, ignore the gays and forge on with getting rid of the commies aka democrats.
Remember, our party should not be about catering to any group, but about conservative values. That is why we need a platform that we agree on. That platform does not cater to any special interest.
This is what happens when a party tries to split people up and cater to their whims.

I think you are confusing the idea to “not invite those promoting immorality” vs. “only inviting the morally pure”. Those are two wildly different ideas.
If we invite those promoting homosexuality, we therefore, should invite those who promote abortions, those who promote illegal drugs, those who promote premarital sex and those who promote tearing those annoying tags off of their pillows.

CPAC wants a “big tent.” Well, they keep forgetting that when the tent includes and embraces Sodomites, social conservatives will leave.
I don’t want abortion enthusiasts (or the abortion agenda), sexual libertines (or the porn agenda), homosexuals (or the homosexual agenda) or junkies (or the promotion of recreational drug use) in the Republican party.
They can vote Republican if they want. But I don’t want them as delegates, or on the platform committee, or as candidates.

Exactly. I have never seen a group called AlchyPride or AdulteryPride which is proud of their behavior and wants it normalized and embraced.

Same here. But actually this isn’t conservatism,just warmed-over degeneracy parading around as something it isn’t.
Its a generational thing. The majority of folks 25 and under are pro-gay rights and pro-gay marriage. The last survey I showed even showed smaller, though still significant support, among self-described “Christians.”

So many things wrong with this sentence and it's context I have no idea where to begin so I'll outline my thoughts:

The article warrants a barf alert for that phrase alone. The left is now using "bigot" with respect to homosexuality. Another perversion (pun intended) of the language by the left.
Kind of like how leftists say "pro-choice" when they mean "pro-abortion."
I believe the war on drugs is a failure, and is a complete disregard for the constitution.......does this mean I cannot be a conservative anymore??????
It’s a fine line as I know several gays who work as doctors, military officers, Republican elected officials, attorneys. teachers, engineers and oil field workers and they all do their jobs well and do not advertise their sexuality or promote their lifestyle.
However, even though most of the above mentioned that I know are Republican, they all see conservatives as having an irrational view of homosexuality as each of them and functions well in society.
Nothing like a little hyperbole to move the debate along.
They have stolen the word “gay”... we will not let them have CONSERVATIVE.

Ya know, I have noticed an extreme prejudice against libertarians on this forum lately....I find that there are tenents of the libertarian platform that are dead on constitutional. I took a test (can’t remember the name of it) and I scored right on the conservative / libertarian line...in other words, a true constitutionalist...I guess I have to ask, are conservatives constitutionalist or not????
