Is the pioneering attorney taking a trivial turn in the Tiger Woods case?

It was no shock that my column Saturday criticizing public scrutiny of Tiger Woods' apology drew plenty of e-mail response from readers, most of whom agreed that Woods is accountable to his family, not his fans, for whatever "transgressions" occurred in his personal life.
What surprised me, though, was that so many readers were offended by the photo that accompanied the piece.
"It's hard to take your comments seriously with the backdrop of television lawyer Gloria Allred, media hound and high-profile attorney who works the system to make millions, as she seems to be in constant hunt of suing very rich men," e-mailed Nick Antonicello.
The photo showed Allred comforting Veronica Siwik-Daniels, a former porn actress who said she had a three-year relationship with Woods and was "bitterly disappointed" that he didn't mention her on Friday in the list of people to whom he owed apologies.
Some considered it ironic that Allred, who made her name fighting for women and children, would align herself with a home-wrecker.

Gloria Alred has always been a parody of lawyers and feminists. Nothing new.
Gloria Allred didn’t take a “turn for the trivial” in this involvement with the Tiger Woods/porn actress case.
Gloria was ALWAYS trivial.
She represents just another face coming from another untried
angle, imposing a pseudo-”feminist” presence on whatever high-profile case comes down the pike and presents and opportunity for people like her to capture more face time.
She is every bit the feminist as any of the others in what is now a rag-tag group of ‘elder statesladies’, like Gloria Steinem, and so many others whose names nobody remembers.
Gloria keeps popping back us, so that you WILL remember her name. Her whole livelihood depends on the news cameras.
This is more than just another basically sleazy lawyer looking for new opportunities,(something we all expect by now): this is what has become of the “feminist movement”, what has become of “feminist issues”, and this is what feminism was always leading to.
Gloria is becoming a parody of herself. If SNL hasn’t done her, they should.
Si Tiger likes cheap, slutty women. I wish we weren’t even hearing all of this nonsense about him. I for one DO NOT CARE.

There is no legal issue here; Gloria is making the biggest arse of herself to date.

Allred is scum and so is her client. They are trying to “squeak the wheel” so Tiger pays them to go away.
Today I’m sending letters to every broadcast and cable news network protesting their decision to give air time to this disgusting pair. Gloria Allred has always been one of the $limiest bottom feeders in the pond but this latest attempt trumps all her past offenses. She is every bit as vile and vulgar as her latest “client” and ought to be disbarred.
Gloria would no doubt sue SNL for “defamation of character”.

She was defending the porn star’s “right” to be a home breaker. Any porn star worth the name KNOWS that a man is going to make promises to her that he has no intention of keeping. Heck, most unmarried men do the same and have selective amnesia after the wedding.
Gloria Allred has jumped the shark. I saw her and Kimberly Gilfoyle on Hannitys America. Kimberly mopped the floor with her. She was claiming that The Slut gave up her whore job for Tiger and Kimberly whipped out a list of 16 films Miss Slut had made since she supposedly gave up her career for Tiger. You should have seen Allreds face. She was clearly caught off gaurd.
