Newly-seated Republican Sen. Scott Brown (Mass.) on Monday joined Democrats in voting to end debate on their $15 billion jobs bill.
Brown crossed the aisle after Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) nixed an $85 billion, bipartisan plan in favor of a more narrowly-focused bill.

Let’s not expect miracles from Scott Brown, he voted to allow the vote on a $15 Billion spending bill. He told the voters of Massachusetts he would be independent of both parties.
Let’s give him more than 1 vote on a small spending bill by Washington Standards before we start calling him a RINO. Would you rather have Coakley?
From “41” to “60” within a week. Got a hunch I’m going to be sorry I sent him $$.
John McCain is not a RINO. He’s pro-life, strongly pro national defence, and has voted against UHC and the Stimulus. If Hayworth is anything more than a nuisance we may actually end up losing that Senate seat. Also the jobs bill doesn’t sound too bad-much of it is tax breaks.
Going all ideologue on us and handing his seat to your usual closet-commie MA Democrat wont help us or the country at all.
You don't mind if I take a seat on this side of the room, do you? Thanks. Some of the folks in here scare me.
I am praying so!!!!!!Do you live in AZ? I wonder what the feeling is among those who live there?
Watch what he does next and if he votes against US then
F- him
That blooming display of stupidity was something to behold.
I remember those posts well. I was so dumbfounded reading them, that I couldn't even reply. I mean, what do you say to someone who's so obviously drunk on the moment?
"Yes We Can"?
Man, that was strange.
I agree. I don’t know what the big surprise is here because, afterall, Brown does wear the GOP label. Maybe its the fact that he turned so quick that shocks many people.
He’s been under MASSIVE pressure from the media to “Prove What he Promised” that sometimes he would vote with the Democrats.
You’ll note they go after HIM for his campaign promises, BUT NOT OBAMA, or any other Democrat.
I have a gut feeling that JD Hayworth will give us a measure of heartburn in the future, too, if he wins the AZ Senate race.
I’d still vote for him, if I were an Arizonan, because I feel that he’ll be an improvement over McCain. I would have voted for Scott Brown for the same reason (and still would).
Didn’t Ronaldus Magnus say something along the lines of, “someone who votes with me 80% of the time is not my enemy”?
The surprise factor is gone, hence, no outrage. They've voted so often with the Dems, that it's become something of a given that they will do so every time.
Just always count them as D votes, and you'll feel better. Support their Republican challengers in the next election.
Can we get our donation back? What a disappointment hes turning out to be.
I sent him $60.00. Damn it!
The other day I received a letter from his daughters promoting some kind of pillows for $20.00. Not a good sign.
Oh, I think JD will make a point to vote strictly to the Right, if only to show AZ and McCain that he is NOT McCain. I could be wrong, but that’s my thinking at this point. I just hope he wins!
Well......to my knowledge, so far he's voted with the Dems 100% of the time.
No, I don't live in AZ either, but Hildy ArizonaCarolyn and stephenjohnbanker do!
Hildy, AZCarolyn & SJB;
pollywog has donated to JD, please tell her what the feeling is about JD's chances and how you think he's doing.
Because they are clueless on how the real world works. In the not too distant future, those who are condemning him here will be singing him praises for voting with the "good guys".
So I wonder why the other 35 or 36 Republicans voted against it?
