Newly-seated Republican Sen. Scott Brown (Mass.) on Monday joined Democrats in voting to end debate on their $15 billion jobs bill.
Brown crossed the aisle after Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) nixed an $85 billion, bipartisan plan in favor of a more narrowly-focused bill.

His true colors are shining thru..
His election did throw the commies off track for a bit, which is a good thing...but now I am willing to bet he will vote for a “new and improved” healthcare bill.
This should be so easy for the republicans:
Tell Obama to spend the other 2/3 of the stimulus now instead of spending it right before the mid-term election and his next election.
Why give him more money to use to buy votes when he’s refused to spend 2/3 of the stimulus money ?
I wasn’t fooled too much because this is Massachusetts.
The Republican Party machine ginned up a campaign with the ususal suspects of talk radio shows and Fox News.
There were extra posts dropped into Free Republic to promote Brown.
The selling point for the grassroots was that Brown would be filibuster vote 41 to stop Obamacare.
Office staff from the RINO run Pennsylvania State Republican Committee moved up to Massachusetts to help.
I knew that Brown was “Romney Jr.” but I would have voted for him to hurt Obama.
We still need more authentic conservatives elected to more House and Senate seats.
Its that simple, let the work continue and don’t re-elect these unrepenting business as usual RINO’s like Bennett in Utah.
All of it. The governmrnt does not create jobs- we do. We are broke to the fourth generation and the spending continues. The fact that a man said he would vote against spending, lied, and voted for it does not bother you tells us why this country is collapsing. You can believe the “Jobs Bill” will create jobs if you like. Last month the same bill was Stimulus 3. They thought if they changed the name it would fool the stupid citizens. Oh, it did.
and so many people here were all set to back his presidential campaign.
....please....he’s a RINO no matter how you slice it. He’s better than Swimmer Boy and the lady who was set to replace him, but not by too much.
The "What if I make a 'mistake' and a pregnancy results, why I might lose everything I own" crowd voted for Brown.
Government programs only create two things: 1) more dependents on gubmint, and 2) more gubmint jobs.
Government programs do NOT create private sector jobs.
In case you have not noticed Obamacare is not dead yet.
He’s no Ronald Reagan
Have you seen the tone of the posts here over the last few months?
Objectively, this is a drop in the bucket compared to the really damaging legislation potentially around the corner. Scott Brown needs to hold the line on the farce that is “health care” and he can vote however the hell he wants on small-time bills like this.
There you go...those here on this forum who raced to be the first to congratulate him have hopefully had a wake up call. I could not - cannot stand this guy -— pro abortion.
Nothing good can come out of that kind of position.
This proves it.
Here comes the weeping and gnashing of teeth from all the Freepers who thought a pro-abortion Mass Republican was going to be Reagan the Second.
I ‘m sure a lot of people would like their money back on this cheap bill of goods...
I wasn’t fooled by Brown...I was attacked here for not being “supportive” - just like they do for my pointing out the major disappointment that Bush was and continues to be.
No real surprise, Massachusetts, Lawyer...what do you expect?
Never held much of a good thought for him.
Guess I’m glad he won, gave us a little hope for just a few days.
We can’t count on politicians. They’re all pretty much the same. We’ve got to find others.
I know why I hate facebook - I go to your link and there is nothing about any Scott Brown comments-I refuse to use facebook and do not understand it. My family all use it and swear by it - to me it is very very UNFRIENDLY. Don’t misunderstand me - I have been using PCs since the very first apple.
Spoken like a true RINO. Like your he-ro, Bush and Brown, you never met a big-government snake-oil you didn't like.
No babies will be saved by Brown's actions. He's pro-choice, remember?
This is just the beginning of his Senate career. Watch for more 'collegiality' with the demoCRAPs and the expense of the US taxpayers.
But Brown has expressed a willingness to work with Democrats on other issues.
I'm having no troubles. I knew back then he would sell the US taxpayer over.
You're the one who idolizes him, not me.
Well said. A RINO is a RINO is a RINO. Brown, Romney, McCain........why would we even entertain talk of them running for POTUS.
