We don't need a third party. Is that what they're preventing?
We need conservatives to take over the Republican party (because the left is just too far gone. They're all commies now).
To: aquapub
Well, we knew that the drive to TEApublicanise the GOP wasn’t going to come without some opposition. The time is now to FLOOD every county meeting where the Chairman actually follows these instruction, bring in hundreds to overrule the parliamentary junk by force of numbers.

Putting live bodies in each precinct committee chair will keep this assumption of representation by the GOP elite from doing exactly what they are attempting.

The GOP is undermining a grassroots conservative movement? What are they afraid of? They should embrace this kind of a movement or, at the very least, not undermine it.

(WHAT!!!!)
To: aquapub
“The Tea Parties have spent the last year recruiting new Precinct Committeeman candidates to take back the Republican Party for actual grassroots conservatives. But the votes of these newly-elected officials are now going to be nullified as County Chairmen across the state exercise their made-up, non-existent right to vote vacant precincts however they see fit.”
“The law—Illinois Election Code at 10 ILCS 5/7-8(a)—is clear: Each elected ward, township or precinct committeeman shall cast as his vote one vote for each ballot voted in his ward, township, part of a township or precinct in the last preceding primary election of his political party.”

And yet people still insist on remaining with the OP(formerly the GOP) even though they have been purposely driving Conservatives out of the OP for years! It only illustrates we have one big socialist Republicrat party.

"GOP illegally silencing Tea Parties"
IF....the Tea Parties stick to their original purpose, no one can silence the Tea Party; the Tea Parties are THE PEOPLE, and THE PEOPLE rule...(says so in the Constitution)
The fact that a powerful group is challenging the GOP's claim to "conservatism", is scaring them to death. It's scaring them because of the prominent threat of "RINO-ism" running through the party.
On the other hand, this could be fodder put out from the left to throw out a challenge to trick the Tea Parties into becoming a 'third party', thereby guaranteeing obama a second term.
The best thing for the TEA PARTY to do is, totally ignore all parties and stick to the Constitution and exercising the freedom of speech to protest what the current government is doing to America.
The Tea Party MUST remain grass roots, or we're "Ross Perot" all over again and a cakewalk for obama back to the white house.
It is incumbent upon the GOP to lean more toward the Tea Party beliefs than the other way around. The GOP has lost its way, and they're trying to take the Tea Party with them. Tea Party....HUNKER DOWN and STAND YOUR GROUND!!!!
Trusting a politician is like putting sensitive body parts in a pit bull's mouth.

For the most part, the “tea party” is just the rank and file GOP.
We already own them. We may just have to make it very clear this season. We need to make sure we flood the precinct meetings.
Another thing; if O is unopposed, they may have some of their people crossing over to do some troublemakiing. Another reason to make sure we show up in numbers, to make sure the troublemakers are outnumbered.

As we saw in Nevada, most of these “Tea Party” candidates are just stalking horses to split the vote and elect Democrats.
Any idiot can call his group a “Tea Party”.
To: aquapub
A year ago we saw this coming in Oregon.
Someone wisely pointed out that since the GOP wasn't really using its party in Oregon, they wouldn't mind if we borrowed it.
Its easier to capture the GOP from the inside than to build a 3rd party particularly in Blue states.
