It is McCain’s damn job to know what in the hell he is voting for. To pass the blame is totally unacceptable and shows that he is irresponsible and needs to be replaced.

admitting you were misled does not help you, but if that’s the best you can do...thank you for your honorable service, now time to do something else.

Other convenient misleading events in McCain's political career:
Keating Five
Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs
McCain-Feingold
Cap and Tax
Shamnesty
After all, he's a solid conservative according to the ACU. He's just misunderstood from being misled so much.

Doesnt that tell you all you need to know about his judgement? All those years in congress and yet hes so easily fooled? LOL
How about the hundreds of other times he has voted as a RINO?
I wonder how he explains them away.

Guess why you were mislead, Mr. McCain.
Could it possibly have something to do with the fact that you listen to Democrats and "moderates" instead of conservatives?
You were either willingly or negligently "mislead", John. Which is it?

You know, senator, that there's a pretty good method available to help keep you from being misled on pending legislation.
It's called: Read it before you vote on it.
To: cripplecreek

You were NOT misled by your constituents.
They said NO !
If you read your emails, letters, faxes and phone transcripts you could not have been ‘misled’.
No quarter.

I don’t know about that. I’m not going to demean his military service. Besides, it’s irrelevant. The only thing that matters here is his suitability for re-election to the senate.
I won’t even demean Senator McCain’s job performance as a senator. He’s done an excellent job of stabbing conservatives in the back and thumbing his nose in our faces, in spite of which he’s actually managed to be re-elected before.
He may the leader of the reach-across-the-aisle faction, but he’s no fool. Like most politicians, he’s very adept at holding onto office no matter how much he ignores the constituents that put him there. Even as I write, John is making his once-every-six-years move to the right.
McCain is not going to go peacefully into retirement.

I don’t see why we don’t believe this guy. He’s totally ELECTABLE and proved it in 2008. We need to get the GOP to nominate this guy again. Maybe get Lindsay Graham for VP. Would it be great to get independent Joe Lieberman. I heard Hannity call him a “Great American” once.
