‘Increase in Fees on Brand Name Pharmaceuticals’

I take Singular and there's not a generic. When the pharmaceuticals pass the cost on to the consumers that acts as a tax and since I'm middle-class that's like a tax on me.

On March 23, 1933, the newly elected members of the German Parliament (the Reichstag) met in the Kroll Opera House in Berlin to consider passing Hitler’s Enabling Act. It was officially called the ‘Law for Removing the Distress of the People and the Reich.’ If passed, it would effectively mean the end of democracy in Germany and establish the legal dictatorship of Adolf Hitler.

The ‘distress’ had been secretly caused by the Nazis themselves in order to create a crisis atmosphere that would make the law seem necessary to restore order. On February 27, 1933, they had burned the Reichstag building, seat of the German government, causing panic and outrage. The Nazis successfully blamed the fire on the Communists and claimed it marked the beginning of a widespread uprising.

On the day of the vote, Nazi storm troopers gathered in a show of force around the opera house chanting, “Full powers - or else! We want the bill - or fire and murder!!” They also stood inside in the hallways, and even lined the aisles where the vote would take place, glaring menacingly at anyone who might oppose Hitler’s will.

Just before the vote, Hitler made a speech to the Reichstag in which he pledged to use restraint.

“The government will make use of these powers only insofar as they are essential for carrying out vitally necessary measures...The number of cases in which an internal necessity exists for having recourse to such a law is in itself a limited one.” - Hitler told the Reichstag.

He also promised an end to unemployment and pledged to promote peace with France, Great Britain and the Soviet Union. But in order to do all this, Hitler said, he first needed the Enabling Act.

A two thirds majority was needed, since the law would actually alter the German constitution. Hitler needed 31 non-Nazi votes to pass it. He got those votes from the Center Party after making a false promise to restore some basic rights already taken away by decree.

However, one man arose amid the overwhelming might. Otto Wells, leader of the Social Democrats stood up and spoke quietly to Hitler.

“We German Social Democrats pledge ourselves solemnly in this historic hour to the principles of humanity and justice, of freedom and socialism. No enabling act can give you power to destroy ideas which are eternal and indestructible.”

This enraged Hitler and he jumped up to respond.

“You are no longer needed! - The star of Germany will rise and yours will sink! Your death knell has sounded!”

The vote was taken - 441 for, only 84, the Social Democrats, against. The Nazis leapt to their feet clapping, stamping and shouting, then broke into the Nazi anthem, the Hörst Wessel song.

They achieved what Hitler had wanted for years - to tear down the German Democratic Republic legally and end democracy, thus paving the way for a complete Nazi takeover of Germany.

From this day on, the Reichstag would be just a sounding board, a cheering section for Hitler’s pronouncements.

I see Brown voted for a government jobs bill. I thought he understood; although my red flags were going up when he was pictured with Romney and McCain so much.

Brown should know government can’t creat jobs.

If this demorgaphic warfare “ Health Care Bill” is passed by reconciliation procedure, we will eventually have civil war in this country.A reluctant prediction.

America will not obey its law.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: We are in a Cold War with Obama. His continued push for socialized medicine despite the recent elections and the wishes of the American people tell you what he is, a socialist/communist.

If they somehow pass this monstrosity of a health care bill, that will be the beginning. Then comes Amnesty for illegals, Cap and Tax, Card-check, and Gun Control. More centralized big government which always leads to Tyranny and guess who wants to be King? Well, that happened once before in 1773 and the people said No and we're saying NO today!

Obama, we have drawn the line in the sand. Push Health Care and we shall Revolt! 200 Million of us are Mad as Hell and ready to drive to D.C.. . . It's your call!

We need to vote every sumbich in congress out of office. Every incumbent in primaries need to be defeated to send the clear message: enact this Communist’s policies and you are out of the government.

Hussein Obowma wants every democrat to commit political suicide for his health bill nationalization: 1/3 of the USA GNP will have been nationalized within the past 1 year if it passes.

Republicans should just say no to driving off the cliff.

I am doubtful about the selling across state lines. This would allow the Feds to utilize the interstate commerce clause to take over regulation of health care. This regulation belongs with the states. So I am skeptical until I see the specifics.

Companies can already sell across state lines. All they have to do is get an agent licensed in the states where they want to do business. You fill out some paperwork, pay the license fee, and it takes 2 or 3 weeks to process.

I smell collusion in the mist. Lets see, the insurance companies know that by raising rates they will get beat up by the demons. They also know that they don’t want a public option and it won’t pass with one. So what happens, they anounce exorbitant rate increases only to get beat up, BO puts out his plan with no public option but a mandate that everyone has to buy insurance. He put in a phony rate regulation but the insurance companies don’t care because they just picked up 20-30 million paying customers most of them paid for by us smucks through our taxes on our policies and those on the dole of the gov’t.

What a SCAM.
