Earthquakes would contribute. but as you say. The city was there in Abraham’s time. It was destroyed, then rebuilt by Herod in grand style, then that was destroyed, and then in Hadrian’s time, really destroyed.
Waiting for the goat fornicators to start rioting over this “offensive to islam” find.
“That BCE business is like nails on a chalkboard.”
OK, it was the year 2761 using the correct calendar established by G-d, instead of the pagan Roman calendar.

WOW! When I was there, they had found city walls dating back to King Hezekiah, 45 feet below the present city street level.
King Solomon’s walls would be YEARS older than even THAT!
Wow. This is fascinating.

Where did you get that? I have never heard of a calendar ESTABLISHED by God. What’s wrong...are you afraid of typing GOD??? What does any of that have to do with what I said anyway? Before one comments they should discern what the party they are going to rebut has said.
Oh I like that one!
Only for people who read aloud.
I have never heard of a calendar ESTABLISHED by God.In that case, using BCE instead of BC doesn't "qualify as evil" as you claimed ex cathedra.

I can almost hear the Palestinians now claiming Israelis were never there that long ago and this is all a lie yada yada.
Thanks SJackson.

That is your argument for supporting taking Christ out of the dating of his own era? Your kidding right? Of course it is evil to take Christ out of the Christian era...and the obvious proof of that is that the era still exists as a time line, it is just Christ that was taken out of it. If that isn’t evil, then there is no evil...
I would suggest that you are the pretender of authority here...my argument stands...you did not even begin to counter it.
Not only a great article about an important work, but, for once, PHOTOS! GOOD photos, at that,

Of course, I can just hear the Palis now, “sneaky Zionist Entity Jooooos sneaked in underground, and built this, then dug it up just to try to prove they have a claim!”
Nineteenth century British surveyor Charles Warren, who conducted an underground survey in the area, first described the outline of the large tower in 1867 but without attributing it to the era of Solomon.
I knew Warren discovered Hezekiah's tunnel, and had drawn maps of the city, but this was new to me.
