Do you know why this shuttle’s name is spelled the British and not the American way?

I agree.. Yes they had their quirks, but too only lose 2 shuttles up to this point is quite a good record..

I have a question. Is Russia going to be the only agency capable of supplying the space station once Obama guts NASA?

Yes, if you mean for humans. The Europeans have an automated supply vehicle.

Thanks for the link, but why is an American ship named for a British one? Do the British own that shuttle? Also, as a side note, someone posted on here the other day that our Atlas V rocket uses Russian engines. What a world!

From another thread:
7,000 people who work at the Kennedy Space Center have been told they will be laid off in Sept. That's 7,000 out of around 13,000. the death of our Space program
I can't tell you how SAD this makes me.

There many things to complain about, this isn’t one of them.. Yes they named it after Captain Cooks ship the Endeavour, however they also name the shuttle after he Command Module of Apollo 15.
