Conservatives cheer Medina's message in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH -- Marvin Bahnman doesn't like where the country is headed.

He believes in small government, fiscal responsibility and conservatism.

So he carried a sign that said "You can't fix stupid, but you can vote them out" outside the Cowtown Coliseum in the Stockyards, where a get-out-the-vote rally Saturday drew supporters of the Tea Party and 912 Fort Worth grassroots movements.

"I'm not a Republican," said Bahnman, 74, of Fort Worth. "I am a conservative."

Inside the coliseum, decorated with candidate signs, flags and balloons, dozens of candidates on the March 2 Republican primary ballot spoke to hundreds gathered there.

For many, Saturday was a chance to hear from some candidates who feel the way they do -- tired of big government and career politicians.

"I'm concerned about the direction the country is going with freedoms, spending and big government," said Daniel Esparza, 45, of Fort Worth. "We need people who will bring us back to following the Constitution."

Former Secretary of State Roger Williams kicked off the rally, hosted by the United Conservative Coalition of Texas, which represents the Tea Party, 912 and other conservative groups in North Texas.

Were they cheering her “message” that no cops died on 9/11 and therefore it was an inside job?

“Kind of like that guy Bush when he ran for governor?”

Yeah, but the inexperienced Bush, shortly after becoming Prez, was capable of arranging, with his co-conspirators, the attack on the Twin Towers on 9/11. Amazing what an inexperienced person is able to accomplish. And the inexperienced Medina is fully capable, in spite of her lack of experience, with true clairvoyance, to see the “truth” of what really happened on 9/11; that our gov’t, the Bush Admin, was behind it all.

Could be, since she never claimed that, unlike the media reported and could be just another bunch of misinformed Perry slurpers.

This idea that Beck (or anybody else) sabotaged Medina is absurd. If you can’t answer “did the govt have anything to do with the 9/11 attacks?” you're not be fit to run for dogcatcher.

For God's sake, has anybody really looked into her platform- her background? Has this woman even been vetted?

She wants legalized drugs.

She backs gay marriage.

.

She has not spoken to her elderly parents for YEARS. They had to find out she was runing for governor of Texas by reading the newspaper!

http://www.statesman.com/news/texas-politics/medina-hailing-from-beeville-learned-political-skills-on-229907.html?srcTrk=RTR_95609 What does this say about this woman's character? And rumors are begin to surface about husband Noe's past associations.

Take a look at some of the statements she has made: "It’s a shame isn’t it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?’

"Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?”

"Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.”

"I believe we too often get into race when it’s immaterial.” (Obummer, is that you?)

I don't believe for one minute Medina's propaganda about wanting to strengthen the border!

La Raza probably has her in their back pocket!

Glenn Beck has once again helped the tea-party stay in the Republican mainstreamby by weeding out dangerous fringe thinkers like Medina.

Medina is NOT representative of the Tea Party movement. She USED them- latched herself on to them. She’s a hard core Libertarian who has realized that the Libertarian Party will never win anything and that the only possible way to get herself into office is to do what Ron Paul did and wrap herself in the Republican cloak in hopes that it will fool enough of the voters enough of the time. Thank God Glen Beck outed her in time.

Retrieve your sombrero from the ring and go home Senora Medina. You're Texas toast. . .

At 3:30 medina says why no police killed 9 11 http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/politics&id=7274692 ______________________________________________

“I don’t have all the evidence there, Glenn,” Medina replied. “So I’m not in a place – I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There’s some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there so I’ve not taken a position there.”

He then asked if she would disavow people on her campaign team that held such a theory.

“I’m certainly not into mind control or thought policing people,” Medina said. “I don’t see us having a team of radical individuals, if you will

“The real underlying question here, though, is whether or not people have the right to question our government. I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the people … “

If this woman is running as a Republican for governor of one of the reddest of the Red States, by what logic does she figure sympathy for the Truther movement helps her win votes?

My wife and I are still voting for Debra, but, I live in Texas (don’t know what State you’re in) and she lost a whole heck of a lot of support over that 42 second gaffe in the Glenn Beck interview. Had it not been for that, she’d have a great shot at being our next Guv.

The Upside: If she wins, a whole lot of atheists will start believing that there really might be a God.

Hutchinson = RINO / should stay in DC where she fits in better.
Perry = Eminent domain abuse, no term limit supporter that's stayed on past his prime........ Perry is a power institution not unlike the Kennedy's in MA when it comes to TX..... Perry is the perfect argument for why you should have term limits!

She might be a great choice if only she had a track record and something substantial that shows and demonstrates a consistent conservative behavior. Unknown quantity = risk

Well, I liked her, but, I heard the interview. As soon as she said that I said: "CRAP! Send all the campaign workers home and close the campaign offices. Turn out the lights; the party's over."

I cannot believe that this is the only 3 we have to choose from in the GOP Primary. Medina would have won but she blew it.
