How is that dissallowing legal deductions even with documentation thing working out for them?

Seems like even the left is willing to fly planes into their buildings.

I predict no sympathy coming to them no matter how bad things get for them.

Since the federal government is all about racial quotas and statistics, a statistic I would like to know is the percentage of IRS employees that are minorities.

Fixed wing, right wing, you expect a jourbalist to understand subtle differences like that?

They have more important things to do...

Like conjecture what those teabaggers in flyover country might be up to

I don’t know... I’ve got more important things to worry about than a plane flying in to an IRS building.

But, the IRS doesn’t make the laws, they just enforce them, sometimes a little to vigorously.

So, in other words, they're just following orders? I see. I'm sure that will turn public opinion around in a jiffy.

These threats are misplaced, but it is a good place to start. If people refuse to be accountable for their vote, what is the next choice?.

If every IRS employee quits because their job is not worth their life, who would say that is a bad thing?

I have the solution: replace the income tax with the FairTax and abolish the IRS!

Then, all IRS employees could be retired, and they would not have to worry about their safety anymore!

And the American people would be FRee! To work, earn, save and invest without fearing the tyranny of the IRS.

If zero can kick thousands of highly qualified and motivated aerospace workers to the curb after the shuttle ends it run, why can’t he do it to thousands of hated IRS employees? I mean, fair’s fair. Works for one group, works for another group.

Apparently passing The Fair Tax will save lives if anger against the IRS continues to grow.

They’ll check people to see if they have a pilot’s license. Who knows what will happen then.

Crazy a year ago, not so crazy today.

Dear Taxman,
You solution is far too logical. The American people will never accept it. They LOVE to fill out those forms every Spring or, like Turbo-Tax Timmy, they enjoy buying one of those computer tax preparation software packages. Then there are millions of them who, having made some dumb little mistake (like Timmy), have to (unlike Timmy)hire one of those firms like Taxmasters or H&R Block so one of those former IRS employees can earn the big bucks for representing the taxpayer in dealing with his old pals over at the IRS who, themselves, one day aspire to a cushy job with Block or Taxmasters. It’s the revolving door system of tax compliance commerce that has kept all these folks employed since 1913.

Let me close by reminding you that YOUR audit is still scheduled for next Wednesday in our offices at the address shown on the notice we sent you after your LAST crack — er — comment about how we do business.

Sincerely,
U.R. Screwed,
Revenue Agent, IRS

But, the IRS doesn’t make the laws, they just enforce them, sometimes a little to vigorously. People should be ticked at congress who made all of these insane tax laws.

Actually, the IRS enforces regulations that it creates to "enact" the laws. And those regulations often run counter to the actual laws as created...

“Yep,, because the rest were out on annual leave, of which Fed employees get about 100 days per year not counting holidays”

Humm. My wife likes hyperbole too. From:

http://www.usajobs.gov/ei/benefits.asp#icc

“Our leave policy provides ample time off to take care of your personal, your recreational and your health care needs. In addition to 10 paid holidays every year, you will accumulate 13 days of sick leave each year along with from 13 to 26 vacation days, depending on your years of employment.”

About the same as my non government job, except that I can’t accumulate sick leave from year to year.

Good. Won't find much love for the IRS in this household.

No, the IRS doesn’t “make” the laws....they do enforce them, vigorously.

Seems to me that the Gestapo rank and file could have argued the same. They were just following orders from Himmler and Hitler. Being good and loyal soldiers, they sought to do their duties very well. Regardless the morality and ethical purity of those orders.

**Prior to the revolution, they tarred and feathered the King’s tax men....Hmmmm.....***

I remember reading that Ben Franklin was opposed to the tax on tea, yet he tried to get one of his kinsman a job as a tax agent.
