With the tension brewing between the Tea Party movement and the Progessive/statist RINOs, and given the fact that out best chances may require working for change within the GOP, I would like to hear the ideas of fellow FReepers in the form of four proposed federal-level planks for the GOP.
I'll offer mine, based on my limited understanding of the original intent of our Founding Fathers, and how that might fit with our current mess, but I'm hoping to hear the thoughts of greater minds and deeper thinkers here. Thanks.
Top Four Federal-level Planks for the Republican Party
1. Fiscal - Flat Tax. Abolish all other federal taxes. Balanced Budget Amendment. Abolish the Federal Reserve. Gold Standard.
2. Security - Declared wars only, and only if fought to complete and unconditional surrender of the entities involved. Borders and ports of entry tightly secured. Immigration and visitation tightly controlled. Constitutional rights limited to citizens. Quit the United Nations, and remove them from our soil. Enter no treaties limiting the freedoms or sovereignty of our citizens.
3. Corruption - Strict term limits and recycle laws on elected federal officials. Abolish federal-level lobbying. Strict limits on Executive Orders & “Czars”. Cabinets/Departments returned to Constitutional limits (Four). No separate laws or privileges, and no unions, for federal government servants. Limit extra-military federal employees to 0.1-0.2% of voting age citizens. Mandate strict voter ID enforcement to all states for federal elections. Eliminate special tax status and federal grants or awards for foundations and NGOs. Reign in the activist and tyrannical tendencies of the federal judiciary.
4. Cultural - English as official language.
Everything else is left to the states, the private sector, and We the People.
01. Reduce size of government by at least 10%, both personnel and programs and elimination of ‘earmarks for at least 5 years or until the National debt is almost zero.
02. Balanced budgets, no more inflation that devalues earnings and savings.
03. Eliminations of rules, regulations and laws that prevent the effective operation of the private sector and thus free’s it up to start new blusinesses and create jobs.
04. Low individual tax rates,and elimination of some, such as capital gains,and corporate and inheritance.
In addition, begin to follow standard accounting procedures, no off budget items and re-organize Social Security and Medicare on a sound financial basis.

2. No federal taxation, except as a percentage of whatever each state collects. The CATO Institute calls this Reverse Revenue Sharing.

-— Make all employers verify applicant’s SS numbers on an electronic data base. This cuts off their money so they go home
— Offer free plane flight back home to Mexico etc with severe penalties if they return
1. Get government out of the business of business
2. Cut the size of the federal government to Constitutional levels. Cut taxes to 10%.
3. Privatize education, no federalization AT ALL.
4. Defend the borders, no amnesty.

Lets watch the Republican party dodge, duck, and arrogantly ignore the violent, economy killing, illegal invasion of our towns, and states.
Currency - honest money or bust - impossible to have a free market economy under a socialist monetary and economic architecture
Constitution - our gov’t ignores it at their and our peril
Life - begins at conception
Jurisdiction/sovreignty - and connected issues such as Federalism, Globalism, and Borders, “Of the People, by the People, for the People” “the People” being “We the People of the United States of America”
1. All apologies are withdrawn.

3. You pay taxes, you vote, you get government money, you don’t.
4. Torture is losing a body part.
2.A balanced budget amendment to the Constitution - exception for defense or war spending only.
3.Strict border enforcement with elimination of anchor baby provisions. Strict financial and health standards for any legal immigrant - 5 year probation before eligibility for citizenship. A tightly controlled "brassaro" program for seasonal workers.
4.Eliminate government involvement in Healthcare, Education to advisory capacity to States - retaining the NIH however.
5.Pass laws prohibiting Federal Government involvement in private business decisions - prohibit Fed Gov ownership of any business enterprise. Encourage closer research&development cooperation between State Universities and corporate entities.
6.Picture Gov issued ID/Passport required for voting - both at registration and at polling place.
Art 1 Sect 8 enforcement.
Reign in the Courts and remind them of Art 6 Para 2.
Return election of Senators to the States.
2, 3, 4: Repeat 1.
That's the whole idea, isn't it?

Restore the Bill of Rights...repeal anti gun, anti man, anti property, anti free speech laws... no matter the law’s stated intent.
Lower taxes to a fair rate for all...people and businesses.
Erradicate illegal immigration. Seal our borders. expel the illegals. punish the businesses, government agencies, and so called non profit groups that profit from this crime against the USA.
Punish corruption at the tax payer’s expense. The state and federal agencies, as well as colleges.
