Ryan Sorba booed off CPAC stage for anti-homosexual remarks

Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organization’s California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPAC’s choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he “condemns CPAC”. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

Other than this thread, I’ve not paid too much attention to CPAC. It’s a shame. I used to enjoy going but I noticed a charge about 5 years ago and haven’t been back. The events and sponsors this year confirm my worst suspicions.

That is too bad. For instance, I objected to FUDGEPAC's presence and Cheney's prominence, but then again I didn't check out the entire dog and pony show. What trends seemed disturbing to you?

It seems the wheels clearly fell off for CPAC when these cheerleading ostriches dismissed the the biggest problem in the last 10 years - the border enforcement/illegal invasion problem. Now we're eating this mess whole while they still ignore it; Amazing, ain't it?

“Homophobia” is a term made up by homosexual activists to denigrate those who disagree with them - making us (or me, anyway, and others who share my POV) as “haters” and “bigots”.
You are buying into their bogus idea that the “gay life” is just an alternative and just as valid and wholesome and worthy as natural family life and sex.
And that anyone who hates their agenda and criticizes their practices as unhealthy, unnatural and mentally ill has “homophobia” and is a “hater” and a “bigot”.
On the contrary, it’s normal and natural to be disgusted and repelled by every aspect of the “gay” life.

The Right to Life is NOW codified at the state level constitutionally...with MURDER covered under state statutes in all cases excepting the murders that occur on Federal property. Only in the case of abortion is the life issue nationalized...and this occurred in the 1970s. Until then, abortion was ALWAYS UNDER STATE LAW.

Look, I'm not trying to talk anyone into, or out of, any position. I'm observing the political landscape and offering an opinion on a course that I believe best serves both social and economic conservatives. I don't believe any compromises have to be made by either side if one takes a long-term view. A CONSTITUTIONAL view.

There are some times the emotions just run away with everyone.This is one of those times. I am appalled at the anger at Freepers who just want to discuss the issue and what it means politically, they are not Pro Gay Militanism and calling them names or impuning false motives to them doesn’t help.

Ryan Sorba is being crucified throughout the internet for taking a stand against GOProud and CPAC and what I see is a vast re-writing of what exactly happened--nearly every story claims he stood up to speak, went off on a rant, THEN was booed off the stage in shame--even on David Horowitz's website blogs.

That's NOT what happened if you watch the actual video, GOPriders began booing before Ryan ever got to the lectern...this was a set up by GOProud, no two ways about it. CPAC was WRONG to invite these people. They are NOT conservatives, and NEVER will be. Another reason I'm glad I dropped off the GOP rolls several years ago. As a Christian, I find CPAC's choice appalling. :*(
