Ryan Sorba booed off CPAC stage for anti-homosexual remarks
Right Pundits ^ | Feb 19, 2010 | Donald Borsch Jr.

Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organization’s California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPAC’s choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he “condemns CPAC”. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

I agree. But the ones who shout and push their agenda are the ones who are influencing the culture.

Plus the ones who support the agenda even if they don’t march in “Gay” Pride parades.

Actually, when one objectively looks at the laws given to ancient Israel, then they should see the superiority of them. While the penalties seem severe to us in the West with its libertarian licentiousness, very rarely do we see them enacted, as they were designed and did work to reduce the loss of life and promoted a healthy and enduring society, versus one based upon gratification of the glands, etc.

And a capital penalty (se http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/TheDeathPenalty.html or them) for a act(s) does have a deterrent effect for those who value life (and if they basically do not, they are worthy of death), and the advocation of condoms by the homosexual community shows some agree with that principal. Capital punishment also required 2 or 3 eye witnesses, with a false witness being punished with that which their lying incurred upon the innocent. That would make prosecutors more careful today!

The oft-invoked example of slavery as being an example of bad laws is not valid, as it was part of a whole system which prevented long term debt, as well as the loss of culture to a deleterious one. That even life-time slaves were not to be returned to their master and were to set free for the loss of a tooth indicates mistreatment was not encouraged.

As i got constantly attacked on that post, i did some research on GOProud and they are a very progressive organisation, not suited to a event at CPAC..
While i have no problem with gay people,i live in the bay area in CA could not swing a cat and not hit a gay person,i cannot tolerate the militant ones who have to force it down my throat that they are gay.
I have some friends who are gay,we never talk about it, what they do and what i do behind closed door is nobodies busisness
BTW prepare to get attacked as people read your post..

I am suprised he was not beaten. I guess our new masters are presently not quite sure of their conquest.

"Just like not all liberals are for abortion, not all Conservatives are against homosexuality."

People need to figure out what the definition of "conservative" is if they believe this very wrong statement. You can't have it both ways, that's what's gotten us in the mess we are in now! NO LIBERAL LITE.

Shame on CPAC. As a TEA Party voter, I'm done with them for PROMOTING homosexuality as 'okay' as long as you're a conservative. SORRY. That's not what God says, and I'm on HIS side first and foremost.

Like someone else posted, this is very bad for CPAC. Isn't this one of the reasons Sarah Palin backed out, because CPAC endorsed GOProud?

Please read past post #8. You cannot effectively promote conservatism if promoting homosexuality, as they militate against its core issues, let alone those of the Bible, and thus that which is the beneficial to a nation.

So

Just a thought.

If you could be ruler for the day of the US - what would you do with gay folks?

Just wondering.

“BTTT”- Back to the top

Similar to “bump”

On some forums a thread stays at the top of a page by getting a post. By putting “BTTT” or “bump” the poster is just keeping the thread up top and in sight.

Thank you, JimRob!!!

I was getting upset, reading so many posts ENDORSING homosexual behavior here!! :*( TRUE conservatives don’t “hate” homosexuals, but we DO hate their self-destructive behavior that is being forced on society as something ‘normal’ when in all reality-it IS NOT.

As a Christian, I cannot condone CPAC allowing GOProud to be a part of this convention, and I certainly will be looking twice at those who attended and wondering if they are true conservatives...this situation makes me really sad, that liberalism is seeping into what used to be conservative strongpoints, and finding not only success, but encouragement! I’m shocked, truly shocked that people don’t really understand what ‘defending traditional marriage and family values’ means!!

Thank you. It’s a message that I have carried for years now.

Other than this thread, I’ve not paid too much attention to CPAC. It’s a shame. I used to enjoy going but I noticed a charge about 5 years ago and haven’t been back. The events and sponsors this year confirm my worst suspicions.

i have been working my way through the thread. i agree charles, that we are accused of homophobia regardless, because those advocating a gay agenda accept nothing less than total acceptance. i have no problem with gays, but i will NOT let them force me to accept their lifestyle as normal and moral and that IS their goal. My kids are all in private schools which teach tolerance while upholding our moral and religious beliefs.

I believe "gay rights" and abortion belong under the 10th Amendment and are not the purview of the Federal Government.

Do you apply this "logic" to other unalienable rights, or just to the supreme right, the right to life?

However, the Feds have nationalized abortion under Roe and essentially codified the legalization position.

According to the founders of this free republic the protection of the unalienable rights to life and liberty are the reason for the existence of human government.

That is NOT a fight that will be won over the next 2-4 years.

And meanwhile, EVERY DAY in this country more persons are brutally murdered by the abortionists than died from the terror attacks of 9-11-2001.
