Ryan Sorba booed off CPAC stage for anti-homosexual remarks
Right Pundits ^ | Feb 19, 2010 | Donald Borsch Jr.

Posted on 02/19/2010 7:35:34 PM PST by DesertRenegade

Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organization’s California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPAC’s choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he “condemns CPAC”. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

Cheney has opened this up, and I blame him. I have pics and signature from Cheney and the 2004 campaign when he visited our area hanging over my desk. I will remove it.

He is no longer a conservative.

Every state in America has voted this crap down when they’ve had a chance, and here they’re trying to foist it on conservatives??!!

They are bought. It’s the only explanation.

I reject CPAC and anything having to do with them.

I can give a hoot what any adult does as long as they are not interfering in the rights of others.

Shouting down an invited speaker would seem to interfere with his freedom of speech. Next year it'll be pies.

I agree with you....Some folks just do not get it.....Conservatism has nothing to do with being all inclusive to this extreme.....Conservatism in it’s pure form is all about having some sort of morality (for most Christ centered)..... Maybe we have become the blind leading the blind.....

I dont care if Gays want to vote for Republicans, alot of them are otherwise fairly "conservative". I dont support the homosexual "agenda" pushers, so I wont go for that.

I think alot of conservatives are making the mistake of thinking that the Tea Party is ALL about 100% "Conservativism". Much of it is simply about smaller government, less taxes. I mean, what does the term "Tea Party" make you think about. The Boston Tea Party, which was all about TAXES. I don't think they were throwing gays off the boat.

Thats our nature though, allowing the Perfect to be the enemy of the Good...

I am saying his comments on the military are indicative of a backdoor thing (no pun intended) that’s obviously been “transforming” his public statements.

He has been deceived.

You have no idea what they're for. I can tell you right now they're a progressive group. I don't care what anyone says. And I'll use their own website to prove it:

9 - REVITALIZING OUR COMMUNITIES - A package of urban related reforms; expanding historic tax preservation credits; support for school choice.

Do you understand what that means? Let me break it down:

A package of urban reforms: in other words they support what caused the real estate bubble. Fannie/Freddie/ACORN are entities that implement urban reforms. Any group that lists urban reform as one of the top ten federal legislative issues is a progressive group that supports stealing tax dollars in order to redistribute wealth.

Expanding historic tax preservation credits: I'll quote the federal government on what that means, It generates jobs and creates moderate and low-income housing in historic buildings. In other words, more wealth redistribution!!! This is straight out of the progressive play book.

I'm sorry, but they are NOT conservative. Conservatives do not believe in wealth redistribution. GOProud actively promotes wealth redistribution. It's groups like this that infiltrate the conservative movement and make it rot from the inside.

It means Reagan did not bend over and accept their goals & strategies but rather that he remained focused on his own goals. IOW, a true leader.

When I was younger, I didn't care about gays or what they did on their own time. But since then, they have organized into thuggish mobs hell bent on destroying every foundational institution this country has. They are hell bent on destroying religion. They are hell bent on forcing acceptance of their way of life on all of us using the government as their club. So be it. Now I consider open homosexuals to be the enemies of my country, and I don't care if they claim to support conservative positions or not. If they only wanted to further the conservative agenda, they wouldn't have formed a gay bloc - they would simply have attended as conservatives and none of us would know a thing about how they get their rocks off. Coming as a homo bloc only means that they are trying to infiltrate and gain acceptance of their sexual acts within the last bastion of resistance - the conservative bloc. No thanks.

Very well put.

Worth repeating. Thanks.

“They reject Jesus and His teachings”....To which you replied “Yes, but personally I don’t think that means that Jesus stops loving them”....Of course Christ still loved them.....But I do remember Christ telling the apostles to shake the very dust off of their feet after someone resisted the Truth of the Gospel.....We’re not expected to roll in the gutter with them.....Just to pray for them....

I personally dont care who someone performs an act with in private, as long as children are not involved.

I do have a problem with said people 1 getting married 2 having children 3 teaching children 4 showing homosexual affection in public either out on the street or on public TV programs.

but as far as what they do in private I could give a rats patoot.

I agree. Conservatism is a belief system shared across all socio-economic lines and age groups. I welcome those who share our beliefs and seek to limit government; to re-establish true Constitutionality to our government(s).

That said, what they do in their private lives is none of my business....as long as they KEEP it that way. I will not be told what to “think” by anyone.

Sodomites cannot be "Conservatives." They can be "Republicans," "Demoncraps," "Libertarians," "Communists," "Fascists," "Socialists,".... But they cannot be "Conservatives." Those of us that are "Conservatives" understand this fact. Those people that claim to be "Conservative" that cannot understand this fact are nothing less that wolves in sheep's clothing. Clouds without water. Liars.

I know it's not going to happen but this nation needs a party named "The Conservative Party." Maybe Ryan knows how to get one started. I know I'll join in a heartbeat and to hell with all the "moderate (aka 'liberal')" jerks that have hijacked the Republican Party.
If the Republican Party were in fact, at any point in time, the party of Conservatism it's the "moderates (RINOs - i.e. John McCain, Michael Steele)" in the party that keep changing it back into the demoncraps communist party. Those in the Republican party that are not willing to live the conservative lifestyle are not going to change and we Conservatives should not waste our time trying to change them. We need our own party. One that puts an accurate label on us and that tells the world who we are and what we stand for. If some of you want to take control of the Republican Party and then legally change it's name then fantastic but in my opinion, to stay in a party that has no intention of ever moving our way we must leave it and start a new party.

As a Conservative in the Republican Party I've found myself feeling like an abused woman that just can't get out of a bad relationship. Well no more. I am not a woman and I'm certainly not going to continue to let the Republican Party abuse my family and me. I will vote for myself every time there is not a "Conservative" candidate on a ballot.

I can assure you that Mr. Sorba would not have been booed of the stage while speaking to a "Conservative" group. Real Conservatives understand that sodomites are sick and twisted, disease ridden, child molesting, abominations. Real Conservatives stand up to and run off sodomites. I'm saddened the Ryan Sorba had to stand alone last at that CPAC meeting.

Says a lot for the state of the State of California doesn't it?
