Ryan Sorba booed off CPAC stage for anti-homosexual remarks

Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organization’s California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPAC’s choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he “condemns CPAC”. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

GOProud is committed to a traditional conservative agenda that emphasizes limited government, individual liberty, free markets and a confident foreign policy. GOProud promotes our traditional conservative agenda by influencing politics and policy at the federal level.

GOProud also promotes a radical social agenda that is simply bad for the country, and is contrary to any conservative principles worth having.

If somebody wants limited government, individual liberty, etc. etc., well, there's always Freedom Works, the Club for Growth, or any number of legitimate conservative organisations. No need to shill for a bunch of social radicals who happen to also want lower taxes.

Hoping for votes is one thing. But it is quite another to tacitly approve of degenerate behavior by welcoming them with a level of respect. Do you really want your kids to think “oh well, I guess the erotic worship of the male rectum is just another lifestyle we can choose from”. The consequences of AIDS alone should be enough of a wake up call.

If a group called GOPedo supports every single part of the Conservative ideal, but just happen to be NAMBLA afficianados - are we supposed to welcome them with open arms? If a group called GOPolygamy wants to be recognized, should we just look the other way? What about GOPwifeswap? I mean wifeswapping is legal. So if a group forms around like-minded wifeswappers who think it is normal and healthy (and are even prideful about it) - should we welcome them into the Conservative movement too? Hello?

Well, no you don't.

Little known fact - Thomas Jefferson advocated castration as a punishment for homosexuality, and actually authored a bill to that effect before the Virginia legislature.

Since I merely think that conservatives shouldn't pander to gay identity groups trying to force acceptance and legitimisation of their lifestyle onto everyone, but should otherwise leave gays alone, this would actually make me more "liberal" on the issue than Jefferson was.

Either one believe a thing or one does not. One cannot have it both ways, though many try. One cannot say, "We believe in the traditional family and traditional morals" and then turn around and sell out for a few votes. Many conservatives, such as myself, are completely disgusted with the political machinations of the homosexuals.

When I was younger, I didn't care about gays or what they did on their own time. But since then, they have organized into thuggish mobs hell bent on destroying every foundational institution this country has. They are hell bent on destroying religion. They are hell bent on forcing acceptance of their way of life on all of us using the government as their club. So be it. Now I consider open homosexuals to be the enemies of my country, and I don't care if they claim to support conservative positions or not. If they only wanted to further the conservative agenda, they wouldn't have formed a gay bloc - they would simply have attended as conservatives and none of us would know a thing about how they get their rocks off. Coming as a homo bloc only means that they are trying to infiltrate and gain acceptance of their sexual acts within the last bastion of resistance - the conservative bloc. No thanks.

Once upon a time, gay groups attended various Christian churches, claiming only to want to worship along with everyone else. Now, many of those churches have fallen because of them and blatantly ignore scripture because it might offend the gays. No thanks.
