Erick Erickson is apparently busy running around CPAC, but not too busy to fire off this little note on his personal blog over at RedState:
Pardon me if you’ve heard this one already. I’m running around CPAC and have missed the news.
Governor Palin has gone all in with Sean Duffy and Charlie Cook is now saying David Obey is in trouble.
Coincidence? Probably not.
Duffy is RedState’s candidate up there. I hope you’ll consider joining Governor Palin and us in supporting him. The refreshing thing about Governor Palin is her willingness to get into contested primaries. That’s the type of risk and reward I was talking about this morning.
Let’s get Sean Duffy elected.

I would vote for this Lumberjack. Anyone who competes in lumberjack competitions and encourages his 5 kids to do the same has a grounding in hard work and common sense.

Agreed! In fact I’m taking Sarah’s cue and doing to do all I can to help out the McCain campaign!
I checked out Duffy and he appears to be the MidWest version of Marcos Rubio with a dash of Governors Christie & McDonnell....Duffy is also a strong Family guy...I found him an impressive as the prototype of a Conservative Repub.

Lawyer Duffy, DA (R)of Superior Wisconsin (solid Democratic area), In 04 sparked a contraversy(while DA)at the time he appeared in a natl tv show doing a mock homosexual wedding.
Duffy is being opposed by Dan Mielke a Wisconsin businessman who ran against Obey in 08 and while losing hit that all important 40% in a district which carried Obama in the high 50’s (Obama drew much more votes than Obey).
When Mielke decided to try again he also secured the endorsement of the Constition Party while running as a Republican which miffed the Wisconsin Republican Party in crowd. As governor Doyle’s and the democrats generally poll numbers began to plunge Duffy announced his candidacy.
When told of the Palin endorsement Mielke reportedly replied; with all the strange endorsements and stuff Palin has been doing recently, I guess her excuse was she didn’t like my beard !
Before FR’s all jump into this one they’d better take a look at the other guy and his name is Dan Mielke.
